White doesn't emphasize her best features, IMO. Her lower half has always been larger in proportion to the rest of her body, and white makes it look even larger than it really is. This clip is from the same period as the "Hot Summer Night" special--think of how whippet-thin she looked in the black gown; she adds the illusion of 5-10 lbs in this costume, or the awful white satin suit she wore in "Hot Summer Night."
