  • they will only get 4% out of 2$trillion worth of ore at current prices, and people are talking about gods blessing, god doesn't bless ignorance, DEMAND 40% royalty like a norway, or 50% royalty like botswana, stupid fools. no wonder africa is always poor. Nothing to celebrate here, "giving out gold for candies".

  • how much royalty will stay in that country? suppose they export $ 1 billion worth of ore will they even get 100 million dollars, these multinationals are greedy hyenas, they are their for profits unless the local people demand for more.

  • This is one of the greatest news that i have heard for the past years. Just before this news i listened to another good news that says the government of Arnes Bai Koroma has confirmed to be providing a free health service to women with pregnancies and young children under the age of 5. I hope and pray that this become a reality in our beloved country, SIERRA LEONE.

  • why would this pose a problem?it would bring regeneration of many areas, services, transport and employment....surely this is a good thing?

  • @guvnor24 correction, the people, tjey should learn business, not charity even though they call it foreign investment.
