Cont. from previous post: you wouldn't defend the Kayne west version either id imagine. people who love jazz (and i count myself in that group mind you) try to immediately jump to the defense of anything that caries the jazz label whether good or bad. Sometimes I have to sit and tell myself that some of this stuff is really not that musical And its hard because jazz is such a free form art that you have to really listen to pick out the good. I would like to apologize for the remarks I made.
I would like to clarify. I was not trying to discredit the musicianship of Mr. Pass and Mr. Clark; merely stating that I think (personally) swing jazz has a tendency to take good music and turn it around into something that appeals to some and not others Which isn't a bad thing. As a truest I just feel like (again, personal taste) this song holds a special place in my heart and should not be covered by things that arn't country. For example would you be defending the metalica version? cont..
@eduartito001 Your comment is an abomination... of closemindedness! When Hank did it, it was a country song, when these guys do it, it's something else. So what! Music is meant to be shared, thus enjoyed. Take the stick out of your ass, listen, (without judging) and... enjoy!
Do you think Hank Williams would like this? Would he make the album with them? :-) Guess it would be master piece than.

@eduartito001 you are oh so very stupid. Its music, its an art, it is supposed to be interperted based on personal recognition not bias.
