Cont. from previous post: you wouldn't defend the Kayne west version either id imagine. people who love jazz (and i count myself in that group mind you) try to immediately jump to the defense of anything that caries the jazz label whether good or bad. Sometimes I have to sit and tell myself that some of this stuff is really not that musical And its hard because jazz is such a free form art that you have to really listen to pick out the good. I would like to apologize for the remarks I made.

I would like to clarify. I was not trying to discredit the musicianship of Mr. Pass and Mr. Clark; merely stating that I think (personally) swing jazz has a tendency to take good music and turn it around into something that appeals to some and not others Which isn't a bad thing. As a truest I just feel like (again, personal taste) this song holds a special place in my heart and should not be covered by things that arn't country.
