This man looks just like the "Doctor" who was in the ward I was placed in. They tried to convince me I was BiPolar and told them off in a respectful manner.......... so they strapped me down and injected me with some crazy hypnotics
I'm taking ativan 6 mg a day now and all my friends are terrified of me because I am nobody right now empty inside for 7 years well I am 23 now and I refuse to take this crap anymore. Hopefully I can get out of LaLa Land LOL I need a miracle.
23 years straight on high doses. I quit at home with NO help the medical community. I took a program of supplements. I was bedridden. It is doable. I experienced no seizures but the withdrawal was significant and lengthy.. I feel like I have a new life and a new brain. Well worth the shitty, protracted withdrawal...:)
The taper shouldn't be more than 10% cuts every 2/3 weeks
For people that say benzos aren't addictive or easy to stop please don't be such an ignorant and get informed. Benzo w/d can if not managed properly make a lot of damage on the CNS. Never go cold turkey from any dose and avoid detox treatment that promise detox in days or weeks. Benzo w/d can take a very long time depend on the dose.
I have been tapering for 1 year and have many months to go.I started at 15 mg valium. Current dose 1.75mg
Bla bla bla. You're a self-serving shrink, and contributed to this very problem. I used to work in adolescent psych for 7 years in the 80's, and the deal is to prey on the worried-sick parents, suck their insurance for as long as possible, keep the mill going, and make the already wealthy doc's wealthier. I was cut-off of 7 years of benzo use (prescribed) May of 2010, and didn't approach feeling normal for 6 months, and the major symptoms are still here! Hoping someone tries you as a criminal!
@robielv I was prescribed Klonopin in '03, then to Ativan (Lorazepam) in '06 at 8 mg a day. So 7 total years of prescribed use. In May of 2010, I had a 6 day voluntary detox for Pain Management pre/post spinal surgery medications, & also my Ativan. The detox doctor tried to taper me off of the benzo (Ativan) in 6 days, which is now known to cause horrible neurological problems in 50% of long-term patients (not withdrawal, as the the drug is out of the system.) Six months of absolute hell.
@laaxe u said 7years im been and still 10 years 7 years u sayu wher perscribed in2010 may thats 1years or am i misunderstanding?oh an hows it going 4 you?

thanks Pastor Gregory.
I'm doing very well. My taper is almost done. I can't wait to be benzo free and have my life back.
I'm sorry you had to suffer that much. I
hope you are fully recovered.
These drugs are evil and the doctor that prescribe them too.
