I love the IL PIRATA by Bellini, especially if this aria is sung by Maria Callas, who is still the greatest for me. I have 14 recordings of this opera and also know the score. I cannot find anything wrong in this performance by Gruberova. Sure, this aria is to low for her, but still she sang it very fine. The legato, the high notes, the phrasing-everything is beautiful and effortless.I can only understand the negativ comments as a expression of envy, because she is still such successful....

while your first comment is an opinion which I shan't argue with the second is totally out of line. The voice is fresher than some sopranos half her age today. Clearly this is not the voice of a 30 yr old but hello - I can't wait to hear a few of today's coloraturas at 62.
