I think 6L6 have fuller sound that EL84 or EL34. The VK sound like a Tweed (Bassman Style) in videos, an Classic sound more like a Marshall. Don't you think that? The speaker of Classic isn't good too.
I have a Classic 30 and I'm thinking to change for Valveking for a Bigger and Fatter tone to play Hendrix,SRV. Do you think that's a good idea? Thank (sorry my english).
I think the VK is versatile for the price, but not espacially fat-bluesy : 6L6 tubes sound bright for clean tone (and so Fender clear style with V30 speakers). Stock speaker is more medium and fat and "brown sound", but less clearer and definition is a little bad.
Have a look on Egnater rebel 1-20W, I will for sure
imo they're not as bright & clean as vintage hot (54'type), but, with pick attack, just enough "dirt" and thickness for Hendrix and co. Hx85 very powerfull (and defined) with distorsion. Sorry I'm not a total clean player ;)
I can't agree more. You defined the Woodies very well. They are great to play with distortion. The sound is thick and fat. For clean sound, MK-IIs are the best choice.
the talking in the background is extremely annoying
