UMM No I have this set up to watch online TV and movies sites like Hulu, theWB, Joost, MTVmusic, sometimes YouTube ....

I watch what I was watching on Cable TV all thru the Internet using this setup for free(pay cost of Internet $45 mnth). I prefer enjoying TV shows and movies on a TV rather then sitting in front of a computer monitor or having a hot laptop on my lap!

I think majority of people would prefer watching free INternet TV this way! THus I made this video!

Just hook your monitor cord up to the monitor connection on your LCD TV. You need to have a LCD TV to do this, as those types of TVs have monitor connections on the back of them. That is the most simplest way to do this.

You can use S-Video or RCA cables to connect your PC to your TV, but the picture quality is not as good.

Again I dont watch that much TV just a few shows. I use this set up more to enjoy the Internet from my recliner. It's much more comfortable and when I want to catch a show I'll use Hulu or Joost.

It's a personal preference, but by the amount of people who have watched this and commented it looks like others would like a similar set up!

No - i was referring(on my blog) to a WebTV device for this decade.  Where your mom, dad, sister, neighbor and etc can purchase at Best Buy. Then they go home, read the one step plug into TV setup and poof they enjoy the Internet(surfing it, watching stuff, listening music, etc) from their recliners or sofa.

Not many have this setup, know how to set it up nor care to know how. That's why they pay for cable TV - it's simple and all the technical stuff is done for them in the background!

You can use S-Video if you want, but my video card has one VGA out and one DVI out.

I connect the DVI wire from PC to TV and then VGA wire from PC into computer monitor.

You then need to go to your vid card settings and find the clone setting so the display is the same on both LCD TV and computer monitor.
