I was watching this with my family and all of our faces were masks of horror as he said it was originally American and then he said about the Celtic thing and we were like "Little better..." And then he said "Sam-hane" Instead of "S-ow-an".... Whatever anyone says, it's an Irish tradition, brought to America by the Irish emigrants. The only difference is that it used to be Turnips instead of Pumpkins...

Hay America stop trying to steal our holiday. We have being practicing it for 1000's of years it not only predates the U.S. but also Christianity. It was my people who brought it to U.S. its proper name is "samhain" later to become "all hallows". Its as Irish as leprechauns and Guinness.
