  • turbos arnt made for v8. thats y they made superchargers

  • @Mr50centforever dude what? Are you stupid?

  • corvete = shit

  • v8 haters gonna hate.

  • Lol, everyone hates america... Why man?

We like to drift just like everyone else?

Why cant we use are V8's?

    We use imports to man?

Im just saying... America has feelings too.

  • @smkdaherb Nope, they don't.... No offense

  • fuck off you's aren't drifting with a fucking V8 piece of shit

  • it is easy to learn, Hold X on corner press O.. handle to side wished.. press X.. sorry bad english

  • i more like illegality drift

  • @cantflare123 Lol, you're an idiot

  • @SNIP3RIS1 why

  • @cantflare123 You more like illegal drift... Whats fun about getting arrested and being in jail for 5 years...

  • theres not really a big skill difference,

    drifting is an art.

its just the way the japanese throw it down,

its long deep and inches from a wall at 60mph all looking fine as hell

  • Na formula 1, ou parecidos, brigamos pela reta e a linha de chegada, no drift, brigamos pelo melhor angulo e a melhor curva...

  • @blackcarreragt aint your bro.

  • @Tragikjay92 umad BRO

  • its not JAPAN....

  • @TheBassTakingOver Naw why your bitch ass got a problem?

  • First off i'm not retard bitch. Second its not about just drifting its about the down hill moutins runs that I wanna go over there. So go choke on one.

  • He drifts a corvette... what a fucking dick.

  • 0:44 that guy is fucking nuts.

  • USA? More like.... USGAY hahahahahahahaha

  • its funny that for 15k the Japanese can turn a japanese car into a machine that would smoke a american car in all kinds of motor sports..... i take 4 pistons and a turbo over a v8 anyday

  • @s13SILVIADET that's Funny because most of those chassis that come original with four banggers are swapped out with v8 in order to keep up with there competition in F-d... with 15k you can get an ls7 and not have to do anything or much besides reinforcing the chassis...

  • @6nicky6drumstix6 If you need excessive power to keep up in a slide, you're doing it wrong.

  • @6nicky6drumstix6 and another 10 grand on suspension. . .

  • @s13SILVIADET you're missing out. Don't be a typical "i hate american cars" or v8 = american. Dude shut up and stop being brand loyal. LSx powered 240's are amazing, just because its american made doesn't mean it can't go in there. I take whatever has more power/balance over brand loyalty anyday.

  • @ItsMrWinters bro :) when did i say i hate american cars. im not brand loyal. im just saying that stuff because its true. a lsx in a 240 is gonna cost cuz ur gonna have to modify the engine bay and it would also make the car less balanced so more money on suspension.a stock sr20det in the 240 is good enough but if u want u can get bigger turbo and bored out pistons and balance is still be good. putting a lsx in a 240 cuz u want to be original is okay. but on track u cant see under the boot.

  • @s13SILVIADET less balanced i thought it was 52/48 and the ls is pretty light, just a little heavier than sr20 but lighter than ka and rb's and jz's. All aluminum, not cast iron block or alum head. LS engine is actually quite small, it can fit in a 240 bay fine without mods, a 1uz however will be very tight, i forgot but its prob 1/4 an inch fit lol.

  • @ItsMrWinters Being reliable as all fucking hell doesn't hurt either. When's the last time a V-8 has had mechanical issues on a Fomula D grid?

  • @s13SILVIADET But your talking a used Jap car VS a new US car aren't you? There's a TON of US cars that are overlooked that can/could do this, were there 15K worth of suspension mods out there that don't' involve putting wagon wheels under it.

  • @SpecialKLSX Well take an used american car then!?

  • @jokiiiiiiii *looks up craigs list* Ok, $500 and I get a 91 Mustang GT, 20 various 3rd gen Camaros/Firebirds. And a Pontiac Fiero. And every last one of them is known to handle decently in stock form.

  • @SpecialKLSX under decently. You're gonna need to get rid of the suspension, too soft. get stiffer ones maybe sway bars and strut braces, get some hard coilovers lower your car (lower center of gravity) but try to get a high/mid roll center. fiero = no its MR you're gonna be faaacked learning to drift in a tail happy car. I heard some bad stuff bout 3rd gen camaros and f bodies but nothing too bad. They're pretty damn heavy though but so are 300's, supras, cressidas, skylines, & luxury jap marques

  • @ItsMrWinters A MR car can drift fine. Hankook had a porshe a few years back. And those things are very, very, pissy about the tail getting out of line. 3rd gens are actually quite light, the heaviest being 3,377, most being over 200 lbs lighter thanks to not being drop tops. I have seen a few sub 3000lb camaros so weight isn't that big of an issue. Suspension is kinda moot thanks to almost everyone modding to coilovers for a competitive setup.

  • @SpecialKLSX yeah it can drift, it actually kicks back better, but think about it if it has weight dist like 47/53 and short wheelbase it will be a tail happy car and more prone tos pinning out if you don't control angle speed etc right. Not all 50/50 cars can drift, for example the s2000, really grippy. Yeah coils and thats what im saying any car can drift as long as its set right.

  • @s13SILVIADET 8 pistons and a fat turbo isnt bad.

  • @s13SILVIADET this can do even the germans!

  • @s13SILVIADET Dont think Japanese drift cars come down to just "15k", sure it's possible, but highly unlikely. The cars break and need repairs, all kinds of money is spent from all teams. Don't think you know why certain cars are chosen. I'm sure you understand there are also rules and classes that determine number of cylinders, power etc in motorports. I'll take 4 cylinders and a turbo over a v8 anyday too, but don't care of number of cylinders or nation is to say one is better.

  • @turbomonkey36 I'm pretty sure that American cars break faster than Japanses cars though. C:

  • @s13SILVIADET

most ignorant and biased comment here

  • @s13SILVIADET V8= AMERICAN MUSCLE

  • @s13SILVIADET And you take that same 15k and put it into a car with a v8. Making it have about 1k horsepower and 1k ft/lbs. And COMPLETELY RAPE any little import. Just listen to how a 4-banger exhaust sounds compared to a v8. Ahhahaha even the farts of a v8 sound better than a import.

  • @Krazy1st imo this is the best sound in the world /watch?v=0JRWZTELI58

  • @Krazy1st Looks like you only know about going in a straight line and turning left 500 times.

  • @bogeyta Yep, that's all i know. Ugh, the ignorance in you is unbelievable. I stated the truth and had resources to back up my opinion. And drag racing is the best IMO, but you do realise that NASCAR has road courses. It's not all about turning left. And if you think it's that easy, Why don't you try going ~200mph while turning. I would love to watch you wipe out. We do not need people like you on this planet. We've been drifting since the 60s. Come back with some logic. Have a nice day

  • @Krazy1st "Yep, that's all i know." Thanks for stating the obvious. Further more thanks for making my statement so TRUE.

  • @bogeyta You really couldn't tell that was sarcasm... Wow you are even dumber than I thought. ahahah

  • @s13SILVIADET I'll take straight 6 cylinder turbo motor over any 4 pistons... 2jz in a nissan

  • @s13SILVIADET Wtf happens when you put a turbo in a V8?

  • @0xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx you make it even less fuel efficient

  • @ckeith1987 Oh lol, I have a v8 with some headers lmfao I went from 16mpg to like 16.5 or 17mpg city hahah. Im a fan of both tuner and muscle cars, but for now I just have my muscle. One day ill get a tuner, I would love to drift that would be sick :D

  • @0xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx yeah light tuning will improve efficiency for light driving

  • @0xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

check bmw m3 v8 turbed :)) u will smoke every jap car in straight or drift race... circuit i don't speak about cz there is no chance for any other car to stay better then the bmw on it (road cars i mean)

  • @s13SILVIADET nah bro V8 sounds alot better :P its worth the extra money ALOT tougher and just sick ass machines but im all for austrlian muscle bro :P but i do enjoy the RX7 bathurst aswell :P

  • @s13SILVIADET I call shenanigans... No matter where you are, you're not building a fully competitive drift car for 15 grand...

  • @s13SILVIADET you also have to remember that this "beast of an engine 4 pistons and a turbo" will also blow up much faster then a v8 designed for the amount of power it puts out.

  • @s13SILVIADET i have a nice hemi v8.... but your right lol, im getting a 300z tt this spring

  • @ChubbaFluff You forgot "sweet" ...

  • Corvette can drift?!?! What!?!? Noooooooooooooooo. And is it just me or does the US D1 drivers have virtually no style in competition or even out of it. Now clearly a few have their own unique way of doing things but for the most part, I think the Japanese have way more fun with it and way more style.

  • @mack325 every car can drift you just gotta belive in yourself

  • @champarn True enough. I was just poking fun.

  • Pocket 6

  • 1.nood 2.amateur 3.good 4.awsome 5.jap

  • Japan cars are the only cars that look sexy drifting.

  • JAP POWER!!!!!

  • This was one of the worst videos in regards to editing n information.

  • 'Japan,' my ass! Good drifting, but where's 日本?

  • Im not a big fan out U.S. Drifting. I like to watch japan drifters. My goal is to one day live in japan and drift.

  • @Tragikjay92 Yeah, you're right. US Drifting is typically American, make something as fast smokey and stupid as possible. Many of them have nascar engines in the D1 now in USA. It's pointless and boring STICK TO THE REAL DRIFTING IN EASTERN EUROPE, UK, JAPAN.

  • @Tragikjay92 too bad, japan will be engulfed by water in the future because of global warming, i guess your stuck with chinks and gooks

  • @Tragikjay92 how old are you 12?

  • @TheBassIsTakingOver no he is right

  • @Tragikjay92 LOL you're retarded... Drifting is Drifting no matter where you go. Like Living in Japan is gonna make you pro.

  • @24okay hi my cuzin lives in tokyo and im going to live in japan soon and im signing up for a drift school .... do u think it's gonna costs me a lot ? and is there any chance tht ill become a pro drifter witch sponsors can hire or something? xD

  • @SuperHowToDoThings You have a good enough chance as anyone who wants to be a drift pro. Just because one comes from Japan, doesn't make a difference. Drifting is Drifting no matter where you are.

  • @24okay Thank you so much!! Thats really supportive <33 thn i guess im staying here for a while and buying BMW E30 1.8L /// good start ha?

  • @SuperHowToDoThings Yeah that's fine

  • @24okay Thanks mate

  • @Tragikjay92 Cool story bro

  • @Tragikjay92 Nice , thats my goal too ahah

  • sixth comment: this drift in track is shit streets of osaka drift are the real deal so fuck this "boring" drift on tracks!!!

  • "Irwindale Speedway"....doesn't quite sound like Japan to me...even less with mostly american cars and american drivers interviewed in an american car channel.
