Great flkitesurfer, It's nice to see people on the other side of the nation having fun! I just had a session at Hawaii Kai "Turtles" on Oahu today. It's a Perfect sport when the wind isn't blowing. aloha
I'll have to look up that area on Oahu. Hopefully you will have better winds this summer than last with the cyclones messing up the trades. Our calm period should be starting any day at this point. Perfect time to get into standup, diving, whatever to dodge the wind lust.
