  • SOLID IT WAS DUDE

  • You did great!! You can't satisfy everyone instantly, and you're not a personal iPod for each person. You learn and move on. Keep doing your thing.

  • I thought the song choices and mixes seemed fine. It's those people who don't want the party to end that make all the fuss, they never tip anyway. I usually play "Closing Time" near the end or "Kiss Him Goodbye"(na na na na-hey hey hey) Then people know it's coming, or I get them to chant "one more song" Booing is uncalled for.

  • Love the look on the old dudes face at the end CLASSIC!!! And awesome job man ven the lights show looked good

    DJ Big Rod

  • They were all tipsy and they just wanted more or most likely just drunk.

    Good music though.

  • is that the marathon case?

  • great video!i am 14 and have been teaching myself how to dj and i recently purchased 2 technics but i was wondering if you had any advise on software, i have vdj but i was looking into serato or tracktor.

  • Just a tip man- it seemed like you faded out right in the middle of a song- could that have had something to do with the crowd's response? I find it odd that a crowd would boo any DJ doing a good job- which you were clearly doing the entire time. If nothing else, write it off as too much liquid courage for the crowd and revel in the fact you made money having a good time!

  • Not a huge fan of the Ice Ice Baby to Sexy Back transition - I think there are quite a few songs that would go better together. You did an excellent job!

  • looked like a great gig by the looks of the crowd

  • How did you set up sound for this large crowd. My concerns are not so much for the sound at the dance floor but for the entire room for announcements and dinner/cocktail music. Thanks for the vid.

  • wow you aren't using a mac lol.

  • Ur preformence was done well, but the filming had to much old lady in it.

  • @ExoticSoundz lol, hahaha

  • @ExoticSoundz lol

  • u got booed cause u did a good job and they wanted u to stay later smile my friend that happens 2 me 2 !!

  • nice man hey maybe you can teach me about some vitrual dj stuff i need help with it

like what i need to buy for equipment

  • *sweet

  • haha your right bro the crowd is starting to look sloppy, and usually when you get boo'd at the end means you had a sick set! swett job bro

  • Biggest B**** at 9:30

But good stuff bro...keep it up.

  • @xxbouncexx88 haha, it was all in good fun. Thanks man :)

  • Hey bro I have been doing this a long time, and you did your job. The boo's were just disappointment that the party was over. Every now and then you will get a gig that drives you mad, but ten you will get the one that reminds you why you do this, it ain't just for the money (that is one reason though)...

  • good mixing and nice variety of songs there. gave me few good ideas for sets :P

  • this is why i dont fuck with wedding of quiciañeras.lol ppl be requesting some weird shit u dont even kno of. and i did a party once where they only dance when to 1 genre the night was long.

  • Sometimes your customer may want you to stay a little longer? At least you ended on a hing note rather than just letting it drag on. I'll stay just as long as they pay me cash up front, and that it is ok with the facility, staff, and customer. Thanks for the great video.

  • I like the cameras perspective on your mixing. Great log.

  • Are you using the Numark Virtual Vynil?

or VIrtual DJ with timecoded vynil?

  • Virtual Vinyl, but they are moreless identical

  • thank you

    great mixing btw

    I really like it

  • hey man, amazing job brotha, music selection is JUST as important as mixing and i think you did great. One suggestion i will make is, you can play some songs out for a min or 2 and see how the crowd reacts and then mix another song, there were several songs you just started the intro and you were already mixing out. any questions be free to ask my man. overall great job

  • Hey buddy, thanks for the feedback and for watching! I am not quite sure what transitions you are referring to, but I typically start an 8 or 16 bar mix on the downbeat of the current song's chorus - which might be mistaken with the intro? Some of the tracks are also DJ friendly so they have an 8 bar intro then 8 bars of "hype"

  • haha yea i know what your saying, i was mistaken because i realized you cut right to the transition in the video haha i thought it was real time. i guess i should say that is smooth video transitions also haha. btw how do you like the ev sxa250? are they just highs and mids?

  • No worries! I love the SXA250's, we own 10 of them! Back in the day before the economy went to crap I picked them up for $570 a piece when they were retailing for $900+. They don't have a ton of bass but the mid's and high's are very tight - I get alot of compliments from the venues on them. They also have a pretty "narrow" throw - meaning off the dance floor they're not very loud and people can chat. In 2 years I haven't had a problem with them.

  • 10 of them... wow hahaha thats quite a lot lol. im actually in college right now and i need to bring up some speakers for mobile gigs. Do you recommend any? my main focus is portability and sound. Im not sure if this is safe but i am looking for used pairs? whats your thoughts on that? thanks man.

  • nice flow of songs bro...nice work

  • Next you'll have to start doing the Electric Slide...........Boogie Woogie Woogie!

  • Yea man, good job. Getting interactive is always a good thing for a DJ. I need to do the same.

  • For sure, I've never been an interactive DJ - but trying to improve my skill set in that area!

  • Don't take it to heart. the Boo'ing is exactly that, a combo of stiff drinks and good vibes.

Hit up the bride for another $200 to keep rocking!! That overtime bread is SWEET!

  • Boo is for the Great Job you did bro.. You did your thing! kee it up!

    Dj Xclusivo

  • you have some great song choices man lots of props good giglog man

  • Thanks DJ Albert, I always try and play a wide variety!

  • LOL @ 9:28 .... That guy looked like he was about to kill you!

  • Excellent job, man. Clearly you're doing a good job when they don't want you to leave. That's when you offer the bride and groom another hour. :)

  • Definitely would have, but the venue shut me down.

  • Boooooooo!!!! lol

How many times have I heard that!!

That's what happens when you show folks a great time like you did, the boos are actually a good sign, I would also boo at the fact that a great night was coming to a close.

    Great job as always Jeff.

    -Keep it Rockin'

    -Caz

  • Haha, the boo's usually come when the booze has been flowing all night. No pun intended. Thanks for watching.

  • I think you're being too hard on yourself. Perhaps they boo'd cuz there was no more music. If the video showed an empty dance floor then I can see that but the crowd was very enthusiastic and after several bacardi breezers, yeah I can see them booing. I had the same thing happen at 3 in the morning when I used to work in nightclubs.

My advice, take it as a compliment of the highest degree and stop over thinking. You are doing an awesome job.

And they souned more like groans than boo's.:)

  • "My advice, take it as a compliment of the highest degree"

    That's ecxactly right.

  • haha, bacardi breezers.
