  • LOL! ahhhhhh11

  • It worked for me, but now Link is falling... and falling... and falling... Now what? Do I have to reset it or something?

  • @VentusKey358 Yeah, you have to reset when that happens. It's really only useful for people who do sequence breaks. You can climb Snowpeak mountain early with map glitch on, then you disable the glitch with the howling stone at the top.

  • i did exactly what u did and it didnt work. and i have the wii version.

  • @marzgirl99 The way I did it is hard to get to work. Also, it only works on older Wii versions. Any version released around 2008 or later won't work because Nintendo patched it. You should look at Catsuing's video. His methods are easier. Just search twilight princess easy map glitch and watch that video. Try his methods of map glitch. If the Midna text stops you from warping and map glitch still won't work, then you have a patched version.

  • @logitechSDAZ oh i see. cuz i got mine in 2010

  • u can just press 1 and A while facing epona

  • its easier to time it right if it DOESNT FKING WORK FOR YOUR VERSION

  • Comment removed

  • Actually, when exactly do you press the up button when you're emptying the bottle? I know you said when the animation stops but do you mean when you're still in cutscene or as soon as it ends? My timing sucks balls and I honestly have no idea if i'm doing it wrong or if my disk won't do it. tl;dr: I suck balls at this. Halp?

  • @malakaki111 The timing is hard. I can't get it to work often. To know for sure if you activated it, after choosing to warp the Midna text should come up and stop you from warping. After that happens, walk to the next loading screen. If the area loads, then map glitch does not work on your version. If you haven't watched it yet, then watch Nezantra's video. He tries to warp, the Midna text stops him, and he still loads the next area proving that map glitch does not work in his version.

  • @logitechSDAZ Yeah, you should hear the midna sound when the map appears, right? I've never gotten it to work xD

  • @malakaki111 After you open the map choose a spot to warp, the map should close afterwards and you should be immediately stopped by the Midna text. That is when you know it is activated. Once you get that part to work, then try walking to the next loading screen. If it loads, then map glitch won't work in your version.

  • Actually, I was mistaken. The last number is a two. Does that matter? Dx

  • @malakaki111 mine has a 2 as well. It probably just won't work

  • What does it say on the back of your disc? I wanna know if it will work or if I'm just doing it wrong.

  • @malakaki111 RVL-RZDE-0A-0

  • @logitechSDAZ Okay, thanks. My disc should be able to do it then ^-^

  • captin *jack hov* :D umm... theres a different way.

  • is that for gamecube too? cuz if not i will just buy a action replay :P

  • @kiheiify It works on older versions of gamecube (before 2008 I think). I've been told it does not work on newer versions. On gamecube, it is easier. Go to zeldagamern01 channel and watch his video. He shows how to do it on gamecube. He was the first one to find map glitch.

  • i did dat on first try!!! ha! beat dat! o and awesome vid!

  • It's not working for me, the map comes up after the bottle but when I click a warp, Midna warps me there instead of popping up to talk. My game is the original for Wii, I got it when it came out. What am I doing wrong?

    ? ? :-(

  • snapper, the timing is really hard. When I made this video, I had to edit out 30 minutes where I couldn't get it to work once. There are now easier ways to do this. Go to catsuing youtube channel and watch his videos (easy map glitch 2 wii is the name I think)

  • Woohoo! Finally mastered this. I did this 6 times after eachother and I know how it is done. I only have to practice the Ordo sword shield skip and the first 2 Ordon days skip. Look out people! A new speedrun is coming for the wii including EMS and this one will be 40 segments!

  • how do you do this on the gcn version

  • If your minimap is on screen (bottom right corner) then press right on the direction pad and Z at the same time. Choose a place to warp. After that, you'll get the Midna prompt. The glitch is activated. If your minimap is not on screen, then press left on direction pad and Z at the same time.

  • It worked i love going throught da walls!

  • what do i do if midna comes up before the map??

Does it not work on my version or am i not timing it right?

Also, I checked and saw my version isnt the same as nezantra's.

  • I did it correctly now, but it doesn't work.

I cancel the warp with midna, and try to get on horse and go oob, but it moves to next map. I do exactly what you do, and am in the same map as you.

Do you specifically HAVE to press up a few times or you just say several cuz you got better odds of correct timing with multiple clicks??

  • iWATCHITT...go to Catsuing youtube channel. He has 2 videos of the easier way to do map glitch. If map glitch still does work not when you try those methods, then you definitely have a newer version of Twilight Princess and map glitch will never work.

  • I've tried those methods too and it doesnt work. I probably do have a newer tp version, cause i just got the game recently.

    Thanks anyway.

  • thanks a bundle!

  • dosent work

  • It doesn't work on newer Wii versions. I didn't know that until after I made this video.

  • I know. I'm putting the response up now >_>

  • Yes. I've gotten it down perfectly but it still won't work. I'll post a response :P

  • Also, when I say "press up for portals", I mean on the D-pad, not the analog stick. Just letting you know in case you didn't read the video info on the side

  • It doesn't work on my version >:(

  • nezantra, are you positive it doesn't work? It can take many attempts before it works. The timing to get it to work is really tight. It took me 15-20 minutes before I got this to work once.

  • awesome, ill make an EMS save now =P

  • This works in all the versions of TP Wii?

  • As far as I know, this works in all versions of TP.

  • Im saying it because i dont have the first version of Twilight Princess Wii, for example: My version doesnt have the "Canon Glitch"(The one that doesnt let you progress in the game)

  • I don't know if Nintendo even knew about this glitch when they re-released TP, since the only difference between the first version and the other 2? (I think there's 2 wii versions) known is just the cannon room fix.

  • And in the second version you can play the game in spanish and portuguese(I dont know how to spell it =P)

  • i tried this today and it worked! i rode epona under the castle and i was inside the big yellow diamond thing around it.

    then i fell.

  • lol.

  • lol.

    How long did you fall?

  • You can't die from falling, so you just fall forever. I fell for probably 20 seconds before reseting my game.

  • I did this with Horse Call and nothing happens... Help me?

  • TehGorunt said it works with Horse Call. I don't have a save file with Horse Call so I never tried it out.

  • I tried with a bottle of water, too. Nothing happened...

  • Then keep trying. It works but it might take several attempts because the timing is hard. It took me nearly 15 minutes to get this to work once because I wasn't getting the timing right.

  • Oh, ok. Thanks...

  • Yay no more CD streaming!

  • That's what YOU think. How are you suppose to use the Map Glitch to not get vital items necessary to beat the game?

  • Don't get mad mzxrules.I wasn't trying to insult you in any way.And what "vital" items are you talking about?

  • lol, it was a joke. If you may or may have not seen it, MAST3RLINKX had a video out showing different ways to use CD-Streaming, and he found out that if you CD-Stream while getting Fused Shadows or dungeon keys, they wouldn't register in your inventory... making the game impossible to beat lol. CD-Streaming still works on other games though, like in Smash Bros I found a way to get 48 kills in Cruel Brawl by jumping off the edge and doing Zelda's transformation.

  • lol you find alot of glitches in TP.You're my inspiraton in posting glitches and other people too.

  • too long.

    .....

    too long.(can you feel it?)

  • Holy mother of shit. I HAVE to try this now.

  • Sweet. When did you get the Wii version?

  • I've had it all along. All my older videos are from the Wii version. I switched to Gamecube because LJA is exclusive.

  • That's cool. Oh and this will for sure work with any kind of animation producing item if you're still wondering. Maybe except for the Hawk Grass stuff. I may test that.

  • When was this found?

  • It was found yesterday. I read your comment on zeldagamern01's video on how you can do this with wolf Link using grass whistle. Mzxrules experimented with this and found out you can do it with a bottle.

  • It also worked with Horse Call. Does it also work with other stuff like Ilia's Charm, Wooden Statue, and Sky Book?

  • it works with oocco's note, so my guess is that it works with just about any item that can be held in your hand, or produces some sort of animation, such as oocco jr, the items you said.

  • Cool. :D I wonder who's gonna try an ems run.

  • Holy cow! Does this let you walk through any walls?

  • nice

  • Not working on a PAL console. Midna talks to you before the map shows up :(

  • Are you sure it doesn't work on PAL? If you don't time it perfectly, Midna will talk to you before the map shows up. This happened to me a lot actually. It took me several attempts before I could do this. If you press up a split second before the emptying bottle cutscene completely ends, then you talk to Midna first.

  • Okay.. I'll get back to you on that.

  • Okay.. It did work. I was doing it all wrong.

  • Actually, no. It does not work on PAL. No matter when I push up, Midna either never speaks, or speaks before the map comes up.

  • Did you make sure you warped? That's the problem I ran into.

  • I think I have PAL and I did it, I just can't roll up walls. It's hard though.

  • Are you sure you can't roll up walls? The best way to test this out is to enter Barnes' bomb shop in Kakariko. While in the shop, pull out the sword. Exit shop. See if you can roll up walls after that.

  • Okay I'll try that soon.

  • omgculzz

  • Ah spam Up on the D-Pad. I was using the Nunchuck's stick and pressing up lol.

Thanks for the video, the method makes sense now.

  • wooo there it is

  • little question:

does this mean a early master sword run for wii is possible now?

  • Yes

  • who's mzxrules?

  • I don't know. I've never read his name here on youtube
