To all those who believe in the memory of Sankara, please keep his dreams alive for it is only with such dreams that Africa will be liberated. Do you guys know that between 1984 to 1987 his country became food sufficient up to the level they could export food. This was not the case before he came to power and it is not the case now that he is gone.
" Imagine if all Africa Nations had leaders like this. Africa could have been very developed by now. "
Not if Sankara was going to implement the same failed socialist policies that other post colonial African leaders had implemented. The type of state run socialism these African leaders wanted was bad economics. More African leaders should have implemented a market economy combined with an African influenced democratic system like Botswana's leaders did.
The so called market economy just collapsed here in the USA in 2008 and almost destroyed the world economy and you still think that's the good way to go for Africa?
The socialist policies were not given a chance to be implemented during the Sankara or lumumba area, and that's why they killed them, because the West knew the masses could have benefited.
You should go to Venezuela and see how socialist economy is working better than the genocidal monopoly capitalism.
You don't have to copy U.S Capitalism. Capitalism can come in various forms. Botswana has it's form of capitalism. Adapt capitalism to your country's situation. Lula of Brazil is a better example of economic management instead of Chavez. Chavez is ruining Venezuela. He's another wanna be dictator. Chavez is over regulating the economy which can be as bad as lax regulation.
Chavez is ruining Venezuela? But majority of Venezuelans support him and he got elected more than 3 times, in a democratically elected process and yet you can him a dictator?
Only socialism economy is way to go, means of production needs to be controlled by people and not by a handful of CEOs. I believe you don't have any clue what Socialism is.
Brazil economic management is not that good, it will end up like usa's once the west is not outsourcing jobs there for cheap labor.
Duuh, you are not sophiscated enought, aren't you? From BBC, a Western Imperialiast too?
There are many factors in all this, such as sabotage of private supermarket stores that hoard large quantities and then they sell them at much higher prices."
Also the right-wing private media has been a crucial factor in fuelling discontent, demonstrating the ongoing influence the old ruling elites that own the private media continue to have, as spooked customers rush to stock up.
At the same time consumption has been dramatically increasing in Venezuela, fuelled by a significant economic boom and the Chavez government's social policies that have greatly increased the spending capacity of the poorest.
A recent report of the Venezuelan American Chamber of Commerce and Industry revealed that between 2004 and 2006, the real income of the poorest 58% of the population increased by 130% after allowing for inflation
The(whatever supposed) leader that killed you is trying to make up up for it but guess what? only the ALMIGHTY GOD knows.

An honest person communicates with the people while words are acompanied by mimics.
Words controlled by the brain can deceive, mimics and intonation controlled by the emotions can deceive much less.
Thomas Sankara was great, we should all remember his example to face todays dangers.
