I agree, but for someone who is used to live in Europe, Chicago is a huge city. Most europeans that move to LA, New York or any of the cities you've stated, will be overwhelmed by these places, especially when they aren't really prepared very well. Don't get me wrong though, New York and Los Angeles are two of my favorite cities, I just wouldn't want to live there a very long time. :)

There's sooo much to do here and it's all super easy to access and extremely CLEAN. best city on Earth w/ some of the greatest hangouts =) Cons... Mayor Daley's taxes are rediculous, and the weather can get COLD in the winter... crime isn't any worse than other big cities. Hope that helped.
