As a fan of Robert Bradley, I did not like this rendition. This, I feel, is a classic example of 'singing the Blues' rather than 'feeling the Blues'. The singer's voice is both hollow and distant from the message of 'remembering'; the message that made Robert Bradley's already powerful voice, even more powerful. The band is covering someone else's memory and the pain of that recollection, therefore, there is no collective heart or feeling to the song other than 'reproduced for the masses'.
@BitterGabe I don't care for this version either, but I commend them for choosing a song with style and giving a class-act like Robert Bradley (and the Blackwater Surprise) some well deserved exposure.
One of the best most underrated bands ever. Part me hopes they stay that way. The other part wants success cause I don't want them to quit. I think i'd cry. ha
@dragon53777 brian fallon would quit before becoming a worthless piece of mainstream junk.. not saying they won't be huge one day, they probably will be (3 years ago i saw them in tiny clubs, now they fill pretty big venues), but he'd leave the band before turning into a sellout...
