Unfortunately the studio that housed the original master burned down in the late 80';s so they had to use an original print. It's scratched but I'd take it over now DVD release at all.
There was a scene cut from the DVD release. Trevor Marshall Tells Captain Ashland That It's a Devil Ship and that it's tanted with blood. Ashland replys "As I am" Soon After Marshall stabbs Ashland.
This movie is awesome and terrible at the same time. Ones things for sure though, even if it is low on production values and common sense its still and intruiging and effective film.
It's actually not bad at all it's very eerie and fun to watch. The people who hate it can't suspend disbelief. However the many people who can enjoy it for what it is, a good old fashioned 80's B- movie!
Well that's what I thought too. How bad could it be? Boy did I get the message fast. I was even offended a few times and that's pretty rare for me. But I know, you just can't know till you see it yourself.
All I can say is I've enjoyed some truly awful dreck but not this time. But you decide for yourself.

Decent trailer for a dreadful film. And the budget was fairly high for a Canuck film [coproduction or otherwise], what a waste.
