This is one of the many reasons why Marleau is my favorite player. He's such a great player, and I agree with everyone who's saying he's underrated; he is without a doubt the most underrated player in the league.

patrick marleau can do alot of stuff.. but hes definitley NOT the best.. now shot:goal ratio hes pretty good.. but he has a ways to go to be like malkin, and i dont think anyone can beat datsyuk.. but i am a huge sharks fan saying this truthfully.. but i also think.. he is one of the most underrated players though

He had one better year than Malkin did, and Malkin was still on pace for 90 points.

Malkin is by far a better player than Patty.

@FFJabarr When Patty is on and has his head out of his ass and isn't playing with Thornton (because Thornton slows him down), he is probably almost as good. Not AS good, but he is one of the elite goal scorers in the NHL, Malkin is also great and I consider Malkin the second best player in the NHL. (Crosby being the first.). Marleau is a top-10 guy IMO and he has an amazing 2-way game, he's much better than Malkin defensively. All together though, Malkin>Marleau.
