  • This Organ is fantastic when seen at a large show such as Great Dorset Steam Fair, they also have a smaller organ called Locomotion on the truck and film shots on a large screen its something you have to see to believe and its owned and bought to the UK by the Kelders family of the Netherlands.

  • Fluch Der Karibik!!!

  • I've heard this thing play in person- its something to behold, especially playing something so characterful as POTC. I dont think it was this actual organ- though it looked very similar, another fairground organ with these figurs on it which had slight movements. But to be honest, thats not the point.

Seeing one of these monsters play it in person is OUT OF THIS WORLD! The shere force of it goes right through you, wow! Thanks for recording.

  • Einfach toll!

  • where did you get the music for this song from?

  • beautiful

  • I love that movie!

  • Geiler Sound!

Anders kann ich es nicht sagen

  • that this is so cool, loud, and awesome!!! I want one for Christmas!!!! Now don't piss your neighbors off :0!

  • Great video love the organ keep up the good work

  • The vibrations from this beast must be delicious to behold.

  • Which people do? The Centenary organ is an entirely different 115 key Verbeeck, this is a 118 key Verbeeck. They're both currently in existance, and do share some similarities, namely the first 114 keys, and the Centenary was recently fitted with a very similar facade. The Victory has more pipes, keys and a MIDI system.

  • This is not the Centenary. The Victory was built in 2003, and not even meant as a copy of the Centenary organ. It plays through pneumatic action, which is controlled through either perforated cardboard books or a MIDI system.

  • I sincerely doubt that you, probably having never come across this particular organ before would know the truth any better than I do, especially since I work for the owner and helped design several special applications for its MIDI system. For an example of this, see my "Victory & Locomotion in Les Gets 2008 - Deel 1" video, where both organs are playing synchronised through a MIDI system.

  • Uhm... The camera was sitting stationary on a box, where do you see shaking?

  • i think he means the begining...

very nice vid btw, i really enjoyed it :)

  • Fantastic! How is the organ controlled? (ie paper roll, midi, something else)

  • This organ can play from perforated cardboard books and through a midi system.

  • The organ in the Atlantic City, NJ Concert Hall has approximately 33,000 pipes. It is currently under restoration. Google "acchos" and you can see photos and read about it and download clips.

  • Which is a THEATRE organ, not a band organ! This plays all by itself, and is completely mobile, that doesn't and isn't!

  • it was just be perfect if some one was playing but still very cool

  • Thanks so much for posting this video! I have wanted to hear this on an organ ever since the theme song came out - - does the organ play from a roll, or is it computerized? - - hottrod - - Rockford, IL. USA

  • Around here, most organs don't have rolls, but cardboard books. This one can play from cardboard books and through a MIDI system, enabling the latest songs to be arranged quickly and easily for this organ.

  • That's one awesome mechanical organ!

  • cool! i love it! that song.

  • Great video, love this tune.

Regarding the size of your Ruth organ queenbess12, if it's a model 36b, it will be 78 keyless.

  • Here in America, there is a Ruth going by the model number 36B that occasionally rallies. It was expanded in the '40s with ocarina, bells, and one or two other ranks. The scale was enlarged to 80K for the two registers.

  • Oh... to have heard that in person!.... thank you

  • hi again i got it wrongs its a 89 keyless

  • hi again our ruth organ is a 68key organ model 36b

  • hi again two years ago i think we were parked next to you with our ruth organ. i thought your organ played realy well. Were you there

  • Sadly I myself have never been to a UK steam rally. Which Ruth organ would that be?

  • hi are you going to dorset

  • Sadly not, but perhaps next year.

  • They are almost never detatched from the organ, just folded over backwards, though I believe that in this video they were taken off for maintenance.

  • lol sound evil

  • There's also the 121 key Decap "Monty" in my video. That's only got around 650 pipes.

  • Ah, but Preston's Gavioli needs to be broken up into several pieces for transport, so it doesn't count as "transportable". That is why it is so awfully specific ;). There's organs larger than that Gavioli too. 121 key Decaps, 128 key Verbeecks, etc. But they all need to be broken up into a lot of pieces, and this stays in one piece. It is also mostly biggest by the dimensions.

On a final note, I believe the 1133 pipes is a little underestimated. That's the Centenary, not the Victory.

  • Are there any traveling concert-organs with over 10,000 pipes?

  • I don't think there's even any non-traveling ones with that many! You can't get any bigger than the Victory for traveling ones (1256 pipes), and there aren't any non-traveling ones that are much bigger (just mostly bigger facades).

  • the biggest i know is an 125key gaudin in america

  • There are organs with more keys, but few (if any) with more pipes. Also, last time I heard anything about that Gaudin, it wasn't exactly in any kind of condition normally considered good.

  • your'e right.i don't think it's in the best condition

  • Wow, very nice instrument! Never saw a band organ even half that size before.

  • That's why it's the world's largest!

  • will this song be on the next cd of the great "Victory" concertorgan ??

zal het liedje op de volgende cd van de prachtige "Victory" concertorgel zijn ??

  • Dat is nog niet zeker, maar die cd komt in ieder geval pas volgend jaar uit, dus alles kan nog gebeuren!

  • I just realized how awesome it would be to have something like this playing outside the theatre the day of the premiere.

  • It would be, but sadly it is hardly ever booked, so if you have any ideas, they can be booked for most of mainland Europe and the UK.

  • That instrument is simply amazing.

  • I love this song... and the organ! thnx Thijsie

  • Great stuff :)
