Nope you're 100% wrong. The touchdown zone is the first 3,000 feet of the runway or if less than 3,000 feet approx first 1/3 of the runway beginning at the threshold. A plane can safely land anywhere there legally. If I were flying an Instrument Approach in IMC conditions perhaps a CATIII approach then I would say there is some truth to your comment.

You know you landed about 500' short of the TDZ, right? Well under the glideslope = fail.

Also during VMC conditions or operations, the glideslope is not a requirement to landing.
