  • A beautifully put together video for a beautifully put together woman. Apart from that, not many have come close to the grace, poise & elegance of ♥ Cyd Charisse ♥ Aren't we a lucky generation to be able to look at such things from times long ago as if they were here now.

  • Absolutely Fantastic what you've done here! Thoroughly enjoyed!

  • Thanks for the clip ,the music perfect matched the dance.

One of my favorite on YT!

This clip makes one fall in love with Cid!

  • ojosdegacela I agree with you about the awful song.I turn the sound off & just watch beautiful Cyd perform.

  • beautiful clip

  • What a dancer! What a beautiful woman! What an artist! I am at a loss for words to describe this extraordinary dancer. Cyd Charisse is unique, and thanks to the magic of the silver screen (and to the DVD too!) it is possible to relive again and again those magical moments... Thanks for posting this.

  • Statuesque, a great tribute!!

  • A beautiful tribute! What a pretty woman - and fantastic dancer!!!

  • Love your timing with Gene Kelly...the opening and 0:33...lol

Nice to have Ricardo from On An Island With You!!

  • Love the video! (and the title and lyrics of the song fits Cyd well although the tune is hard to edit or to dance...if Cyd could). She really is poetry in motion!

  • Brilliant vid. Poetry in motion, what else can I say :o).

    Thankx for this great clip

  • The clip you had at 1:31-1:32, where she's in the white and her partner is in blue. what movie is that from???? Thanks!

  • @MrEntertainer1000 Charisse is paired with James Mitchell in 1954's "Deep in My Heart."

  • I've been watching this many many times, and I can't think of anyone more graceful than Cyd !

@slc2466 I thank you from the bottom of my romantic heart for doing this, and to one of my favorite tunes of the 60's (Johnny Tillotson)

A match made in heaven, or where you live!

  • Well, I loved the clips you chose and the song. Very well done!

  • @oldschooljamz87 Thank you. I'm glad you and some other people did enjoy the video. Cyd was the greatest!

  • I don't like this video. Why did you put so awful song to a wonderful selection of Cyd's Hollywood musicals? It's a crime, almost a blasfemy, awful taste

  • @OjosdeGacela It's a tribute video to the incredible talents of Ms. Charisse. I felt the song matched up nicely with the carefully-selected clips. The intention is certainly for the video to be in the best of taste, not the worst.

  • @slc2466 I like it. Cute job!

  • Great tribute to Cyd Charisse! Thanks for posting. Fred Astaire said "when Cyd Charisse dances with , you stayed danced with.

  • Divine tribute for a Goddess...

  • Which movie is 36-39??? must find that movie!!!!

  • @hazeldime hi there! the name of the movie is 'deep in my heart' 1954- a biography of an opera star starring Jose Ferrer. I hear it's not that good- as a movie- and cyd charisse & james mitchell's dance routine (called 'one alone') is the best part by far! It is actually available on (region 2)- from Amazon marketplace for £17.95. I love the dance sequence just like you- but I thought I'd wait a while and hope the price goes down! Also, after much searching I found sequence on 'myspace'. Go see!

  • Wow! 1:32 was sheer perfection!!!

  • Estupendo Video, en el que se retrata a Cyd en todo su esplendor a través de sus trabajos en las películas

  • I think you're tribute to cyd charisse is brilliant! I really love it! Nice and clear; in higher resolution than a lot of the others, and very well put together. Thanks very much for going to so much trouble- it's very much appreciated!

  • i love it (:

  • Well, the second I heard the song, I thought....oh, God, how stupid can ya be! BUT...it happens to be one of my all time favorite songs and phrases, and I just love Cyd, so I stayed. Hats off.....absofrigginlutly brilliant and editing perfection. The song was perfect! Congrats, thanks and keep 'em rolling!

  • @kevinodelarte Glad you gave it the video a chance and watched it. Although the song might be considered a too-obvious choice, I thought it would match up well with the selected imagery featuring the fabulous Ms. Charisse.

  • Beautifully edited. I always love to watch these retro tributes to see if there will be any film surprises- and you didn't disappoint. Thank you for the inclusions of the little wind around James Mitchell in Deep In My Heart and especially the gorgeous 'slip dance' from Silk Stockings.

  • great job! thank you!

  • Great Job !!

    I realy enjoyed it

  • @RockOfCashell Thank you- glad you enjoyed my hats off to the truly sensational Ms. Charisse.
