@optical76 yes the beach is wonderful, they have sandbags and everything up, but the sand bags are kind of an attraction as well; with people jumping and sliding off them into the water and such.

My wife and I stayed at this resort Jan 15 to 22 2010 and we had an awsome time here. All the staff where very friendly, and the food was great. Beautifull beach aswell

And they still sing this song every night after the show

Great hotel. Stayed at the Tucan 2 yrs. ago and still think about it all the time. The adventures that they offer there are really fun too. I recommend the mayan adventure. You get to swim with all types of fish. I saw a stingray but never saw the tortoise. Santos(lobby bartender) and Juanita(lobby waitress) are the best.

I went to Ibero Star tucan on March 13 ,2009 and one time when I was small it is a great place it has everything there all the things are there so come and visit that place it will be very fun. oce iI even wrote a huge essay on Iberostar tucan &quetzel.Every loved what i wrote about.Plus when I was there I got a good tan so when I arrived in school like five gils started liking me.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!

wow the memories, i remember my first day i got there. the lady at the airport was like ''U GOTTTA DO THE IMMIGRATION(OR VISA) PAPERS IN PEN NOT PENCIL'' so i was there for like 30 minutes redoin it. then the hotel omg the best place ever. im definately goin back there again. most beautiful resort, workers are really nice. go here instead of any other place. wont be dissappointed. great job iberostar manager. i miss it so much!!! especially maricela lmao =D

I think he meas Acouti, they are rodent like animals a little smaller than a rabbit that rome free around the resort. They will run from you if you get to close. Mainly hide in the vegitation.

I spent two weeks there over the summer and had the time of my life!

I met some great people and had an amazing time dancing to Hey Baby on the last night I was there with the one guy on the staff, Daniel.

OMG i went here a year or 2 ago & i LUVED it!!!!! There were litterally 3 monkeys sitting on r portch. it was sooooo kwl i went parasailing, & evn scuba diving n da swimming pool. I was like devistated when i had 2 leave. This place has like evrything. parties, adventure, DA BEST DANG FOOD EVR N UR LIFE(& a dang good breakfast buffet!!) & so much stuff it is like heaven!!!! Da best paradise i will ever go 2 & have evr been 2. They take monkeys around & they sit on ur shoulder. ITS KWLIO!

I went to mexico in 2005 and got caught in the hurricane (WILMA) but the week before was great swimming with dolphins and in the pool i stayed in room 1245 lol close im going back in 2010 i love it there

Great video...I have vacationed there 4 times in the last 3 years and your video brings back great memories of the beautiful resort and the people who work there. How sad the storms at the end of December '07 and early '08 have wiped out the beach...it breaks my heart...

WOW.. brings up good memories, best time of my life! I went there juli 2005 when the resort was hit by hurricane emily (category 4) we had 16 perfect days but then the resort was blasted away. A real shame i can tell you, but they rebuilt in in like one month. Only problem after that was that the next week the resort was hit again by a hurricane category 5!!

This Hotel Was excellent. The service was exceptional and the grounds are immaculate. It is within 5 min drive to 5th ave in Playa del Carmen and about a 30 min walk. It has one of the best beaches left south of Playa in Playacar Area.
