i will also like to point out that ganga is the only river whose water is not polluted at the haridwar even after so many ppl take dip in there and u can preserve it for N number of years it does not get spoiled.

The Ganges is a toilet. I sat on its banks contemplating life as I watched people bathing, and I counted what would float down it. I saw:
3 half rotten human bodies
5 big human turds
14 vegetables including potatoes
and so much paper that I lost count
I wouldn't wash in that water except that I would need a bottle of bleach to wash the crap off my skin afterwards. And not to mention the industrial discharge and bacteria that you need a water analysis to see.
