it should be made mandatory that a child born to the father out of wed lock should be taken care by his wife and it should be made mandatory by the lay and if the wife divorces the father she should pay child support and will not get any alimony as that money will go for the welfare of the child. We need reasonable child support guidelines, the issue is when judges abuse their discretion and make unreasonable orders. Now with incentives to process parents into private for PROFIT prisons it will only get worst. Corrupt legislators receiving campaign contributions from private prisons will be changing guidelines to increase payments as was the case In Maryland. Women can have abortions any time they want. If a child is born it is because she chose to have one, the man has no say, so to force a man to pay child support is wrong when he has no say in the child's life.

And guess what? Why doesn't she be more responsible in choosing she has sex with and think how good a man will be for her child instead of having sex with him? "It takes TWO to make a baby." @QuirkyGengar Yes,and 90 % of the time, women ARE the ones taking care of their babies, not the father. & Not, actually, it takes two, so along with women having pregnancy preventions,men have 2X as much , and therefore, it's both parents responsibilites. Like said before, unless the mother of the child is a beyotch, the only reasonn why a woman will put a man on child support, is because he's a deadbeat.

@YellowXLemonz The only time a father should have to pay child support is if the woman is raped and having an abortion would kill her. Because then it was against her will.
"It takes two." It does take two to make a baby, but only ONE person has the choice. Therefore only ONE should have to pay since the others say does not matter.
It is also the woman's fault for choosing such a lousy mate/fatherly figure whom to get pregnant by. They were not forced to have sex, now if that is different.

That doesn't help when all men have available to them are vasectomies and condoms, women have all sorts of pregnancy prevention medication, and other procedures they can take, but you know what? It doesn't matter how protected, most women will lie about being on the pill and people end up having unwanted children.
Women have sex so often they cannot tell who the dad is and need a paternity to tell. Shameful.

Because of this, men should not be forced to pay child support, unless....the woman was raped and having an abortion would kill her. Now, the rape laws would have to be even held to higher standards so as to not have it taken advantage of.

My point: Women have so many birth control options and the fact that the ultimate decision to be mothers and to actually "birth" the baby is more effective than whatever a man can do.

A guy should get away with being a deadbeat just because he has to pay money every month ?! Women have to buy the child food everyday, clothes, medicine, necessities, and ! as they get older, things they want. I watched my momm raise me alone. My bio. father hasnt paid a dime in 16 years !
