If I was stuck on the top floors of the world trade center, breathing that toxic burning jet fuel, hanging outside the nearest window trying to get fresh air, and thinking about jumping...
This is the song that would give me the courage to fall.
idk i never really got into this melody , i member hearin it while i was turnin in belts to the dwarf in kaladim 1 at a time and i had like 6 full backpacks of them . when i was finally done and leavin kaladim i thought man that music blows , sounds like somethin youd hear on cagney and lacey or some shet lol
Everyone head on over to PRoject 1999! It is a free to play classic everquest server! It recreates the classic everquest experience up to velious! Kunark just came out 3 months ago!
For everyone who misses the good old days of eq... You can actually have that back to an extent. Theres this thing called eqemu (everquest emulator) and on it there's a server called project1999 .. Look into it, it's actually up and running, there are several hundred people on the server at a time (over 100 in ECL at peak hours) and it's only classic EQ right now (kunark and velious in the future but no more than that)
I've kept EQ loaded on my computer since I played it back in 99-2000. I can't bring myself to delete the files. How do I pull the music from the folder? I can find a few sound effects but none of the themes.
Don't worry about it, download the 100-midi pack from Mirsoft's game music database (under E in the World of Game Midis), google it; Youtube doesn't let you post links in comments anymore :P. There's also a 75 song pack on Fileplanet that's probably more convenient for you, but it has the unfixed version of the Qeynos midi.
But if you must know, I used Awave Studio to rip the songs. All I had to do was open the .xmi files and save.
I remember this music coming and going pretty randomly traveling throughout Faydwer. I want to say that it's Lesser Faydark, but I couldn't with any positivity. I love this song, though!
im pretty sure it was in kaladim a or b,or out in butcherblock cause i remember it from my classic days where i didnt have a clue where i was going and running back and forth between kaladim and kelethin turning in belts
@SHOE788 I know your post is 2 years old, but yes, it did indeed play in Kaladim. Heard it every time I went to turn in CB belts as a newbie. This I recognize more as Kaladim's music than the actual song that was listed as Kaladim (which played at the West Freeport gates)
@SHOE788 Yes it's when you enter the market district heading towards the warrior gm... this melody activates and is only limited in a certain area of space. I remember this too!!!

By far one of my most favorite songs from a video game. I still get goose bumps and fond memories of long treks around the Everquest world. <3

The only place I can remember hearing it was in a guild and the mines in Kaladim. Though the .xmi files indicate that it played in many other places.
