I can't read this poem out loud. I get choked up. I think I'd have to read it out loud 5,000 times alone before I could ever read it to someone else. Just a few simple words unleash an ocean of feeling.
It just cuts to the core of who and what we all are regardless of being a man or a woman. There is such a beautiful truth to this poem that it always brings a tear to my eye. I miss Hank's voice so it's nice to hear him read from time to time-so much of what he wrote is true-truer now and I'm glad he was here at all and that he wrote and drank and lived.
Hmm. Very nicely done. I particularly like the blue colored font at the end. Very nice. Bukowski was known to be one to knock back a few drinks, so I've heard. ;)

Bukowski's words are like wrenched from my heart... from my bluebird....

I prefer to hear Hank read his own poems; of course, he can't do that anymore.

Nicely done. There are others as well inspired by this beautiful poem, check out Bach-Bukowski!

Good video, but it's not the voice of Bukowski, if you see de documentary "Born into this" you can see that it's the voice of one friend of Bukowski.
