hello, i just had my baby 3 weeks ago and i lost 20lbs right after birth, ever since i have been exercising 35 minutes everyday on the eliptical, been watching what im eating plus breastfeeding and have not lost another pound, i feel stuck since i got 20 lbs to loose to get to my prepregnancy weight, i was wondering if you could help me, since you look great, did you use any protein weightloss shakes whould it be safe for me to use? help please, thank you
Congratulations on becoming a mom!! I had the same problem with my final 10 lbs. YOu could try doing cardio for a second time later in the day to help boost your metabolism. I would get my son ready for bed, put him in his stroller then go on a 45 min-1hr walk around sunset after dinner with my hubby. I wouldn't drink shakes but I did eat protein bars, not for weightless though, they tend to have a lot of calories.
When I'm in the shower and my baby starts crying to be fed... my husband strips the baby down and gives him to me in the shower. I then kill two birds wtih one stone and then use that time to give him a bath.
WOW!!! you look amazing!! i hope my body looks like that 5 weeks after i give birth, amazing. Im 20 weeks right now with -4lb wight loss since becoming pregnant. im really hoping that ill be able to loose it like you!!
COngratulations!!! Have you had your baby yet? I think by 20 weeks I'd already gained like 20 lbs so I don't think you'll have to worry about weight loss after the baby. So much of it comes FLYING off in the first 3-4 after giving birth....you'll actually enjoy looking at the scale every morning!
@cathysagal3 Thanks, no i havnt had him yet!! 6 weeks left till the due date!! @ 34 weeks im at a total of 11lbs gained, so im thinking that it wont be a problem to lose the baby weight, it will just be toning it!!
Riley had a lot of spiting up issues he never spit up breast milk so when I ran out of milk and had to give him formula I tried Nestle Goodstart and he spit up a lot witht that, similac advance he spit up, enfamil he spit up, enfamil gentlease spit up, The only one that works for us is similac sensitive and he is doing great. :D
You look so great! I still look like 4months pregnant. :( It's only been 2 weeks though so I'm trying not to get down on myself. A lady at the vet did ask me today when I'm due though! LOL Grrrrr
Wow you look gorgeous girl! My daughter had a milk allergy and was on Similac Alimentum but she outgrew that and is on Similac Sensitive RS. She can't have the powder kind though, we use the ready to feed liquid. (and don't feel bad about giving him formula, I got hell for it and I'm confident in my decision now).
I have been breast feeding but at my last apt. the doctor told me i should use formula as well because my baby wasnt gaining any weight so Im using Similac Sensitive and it has been great for him and now he is gaining weight but I do still breast feed as well.
You're looking amazing Cathy!! (And Jared). As for Brighton, he is one handsome little man!!!! Glad to hear all is going well. Thanks for the tips on breastfeeding at night!
You look great hun!! Ahhhh I remember the joys of spit up! (I had two reflux pukers lol)
PS: Hips tend to expand an average of 2 inches per pregnancy and dont go back down to size...(the bones expand...) normally you only lose some inches if you gained a good amount of weight on them!
Formula: I had sensitive belly babies: My first we used Carnation Good Start and with my second she has severe reflux and we used Soy Formula! :)
Your kidding!!! I bought 5 pairs of sevens & Lucky Brand jeans right before getting preggos that I was looking forward to squeezing back into. That would explain why my derriere hasn't shrunk back down yet...dang it!!!!
@cathysagal3 You could be a lucky one and go back down :) :) I just know that I kept 1.5 inches per child! (Even after I had lost all the weight).. Your hips have to expand to accommodate pushing a baby out... Dont give up hope hun, you are only 5.5 weeks PP!! xoxox
Looks like I did forget to mention that, Thanks for bringing it up! I'm using the Medela Pump in Style Advanced Metro Bag. I liked that it came with 4 bottles, a cooler bag that holds all four bottles, & the pump itself is removable from the bag which is pretty convenient. The down side is that its pretty pricey...I recommend waiting for a 15-20% off coupon from babies r us...saved us a lot!
