I Don't think she got kidnapped... If anyone remembered, she got kidnapped in her own bedroom in the middle of the night. Her sister was also in the same bedroom at the time. Yet her sister nor her never screamed and the sister recalls that she doesnt know what the captors looked like?! GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK! Plus, she was only 8 fucking MILES away from her home! There are definitely many questions to this day about what really happened. With her out in public so often it is one of the more odd cases. Also there were witnesses who saw them at the apartment, including the guy who lived there(Daniel Trotta), & people who saw them in California with Elizabeth wearing a burqa. First I was living in SLC when this happend. Elizabeth was a 14 year old that hated her strick mormon upbrining.
She left on her own free will, she was gone for 9 months and she went all over town.

I have never said nor implied that I know more than the cops, the FBI or the people involved in this kidnapping case. I've said before that all the info I got I got from the 7 or 8 books published about it, the newspapers, the magazines(not tabloids), tv interviews, etc. But unlike Chappelle & Maddox, the books, magazines & newspapers are RELIABLE news sources.

I Don't think she got kidnapped... If anyone remembered, she got kidnapped in her own bedroom in the middle of the night. Her sister was also in the same bedroom at the time. There are definitely many questions to this day about what really happened. With her out in public so often it is one of the more odd cases. Not quite as weird as the Colleen Stan case back in the day when she was actually allowed to visit her family then went back to her captors to be held "hostage" again.

Her little sister was traumatized by the abduction. She'd heard the kidnapper threaten to kill her entire family. She DID remember who the abductor was later, in October 2002. That's how they found out who he was. The SLPD said they found proof that she was kidnapped, & she was never 8 miles from home, she was tied to a tree 3 1/2 miles from home before they took her to California. Besides if she'd run away the cops would have made it public back in 2003 & she would have been charged by now.

After she came home the cops searched & found Mitchell's hideouts in the mountains behind Elizabeth's house. There are pictures of the hideout that were made public. Also there were witnesses who saw them at the apartment, including the guy who lived there(Daniel Trotta), & people who saw them in California with Elizabeth wearing a burqa. Where did you get YOUR news from?

She was never in a house. She was in the hills tied to a tree with a wire cable for the first 2-3 months. Then she stayed in an apartment for 4 days before being taken to a homeless camp in California, where she stayed from October 2002 to March 2003.

She DID try to escape a few times. She was caught & tied to the tree again. Have you heard of Stockholm Syndrome? A psychological leash? Being scared out of your mind? She was constantly threatened with death & the deaths of her family if she tried ANYTHING. There are other kids who've been in her situation who didn't try to escape for the same reason-they were too scared they or their families would be killed. You try being raped & abused several times & see if you're still rational after that.

Um I think you mean didn't want to be found at all. And she did try to escape. Once they forgot to chain her up with the cable line and she made a run for it but because she was weak from hunger Brian caught her and said if she tried that again he was going to kill her. Maybe you shouldn't judge people so harshly when you don't know how they felt at that time.

i kinda thought that to 4 awhile myself, but wat do i know? all i heard days later after she was found, she was 8 miles from her house or at least that's wat the report stated. shit if i noticed where i was, i do the damndest 2 escape regardless of wat might happen.

She was 3 1/2 miles away from home from June to October 2002. The rest of the time she was in California.

She did try to escape. She was scared because he threated to kill her and her family. Look at Shawn Hornbeck. He was found an hour from his house. He didn't try to escape because he was scared that the man who held him captive would kill him. These kids did what they had to do to surivor. And they did. Thank God.

If they told me they would kill my family if I tried to escape I would obviously notice that they are hill billies so they don't have the capability of doing that and walk out the door and go to my bus stop a quarter of a mile away an go home..turns out she wasn't that smart after all

First of all her kidnappers are not hillbillies they are Fundamentalist child molesters who'd abused children before. Secondly if they have the ability to kidnap & rape a child at knifepoint it should stand to reason that the child would believe they'd have the ability to kill. Thirdly there was no door & no bus stop. She was tied to a tree by the ankle with a wire cable 3 1/2 miles away in the forest-covered hills behind her home & had no idea where she was as she'd been kidnapped at night.

If you don't like her and think she's stupid why do you look her up? She did try to escape and was caught and threated. I'd love to see what you would've done in her shoes. It's so easy to judge people when you have no idea what they went through. To me I think she's pretty smart and that's how she got home.
