Well Mike Brown is not the biggest guy in the league at 6foot 210. Him fighting the likes of Georges Laraque or Boogard would be foolish at best as they outsize him by a considerable margin. Brown holds his own agaist similar sized opponents, and knows to keep away from the large kids.

Brown didn't let him back up. He was more concerned with trying to maintain better position on Francois, and getting his licks in while he could. Regardless, even though Brownie won this one, my 'nucks missed the playoffs. I still maintain that Beauchemin is a classy player for losing the fight and letting up to let the refs in. I wish he was a Vancouver Canuck...
