I don't know.. I didnt really like it that much. I can tell you're an amazing dancer!! But there was just no flow. I watched some of your other videos and I feel that ballet is more you thing. This piece was more ballet than contemporary.

I will admit that I don't know that much about dance. And maybe it is because she is young and still learning about dance and whatnot...but is it normal for the dance moves not to flow? I think it was a good dance but it seemed so choppy and God willing, I think there was a message but I just didn't receive it. I don't know...maybe after I watch it a few more times...maybe it will get better...

upbeat meaning energy and exhausting, which will make you want to throw up after the jazz routine. Downbeat meaing its more emotional and hearfelt *Bleeding love by leona lewis is a good example of this*, kinda of R&Bish. Lyrical is kinda of what it says. A dance relating to the lyrics of the song, create a story or feeling associated with that song. Contemporary is...well contemporary. Modern is really another name for contemporary they are so closely related it isnt funny.

contemporary is what most of you jazz dancers consider modern. At least in most academic settings. So I didn't mean there is no such thing as contemporary, rather that the show is misusing the terminology.

By the way, could you go further in explaining to me what an "upbeat" and "downbeat" is?

I seriously don't understand what the difference between lyrical and contemporary is? If it comes down to "beats" and rhythm, I hate to tell you all there is no difference whatsoever. lol

I agree that your arms could be stronger in the this piece...they are very good in the first half but as the beat changes and picks up I think your movements should too (thats just my opinon)

And it looked like you didnt use your flexiblity in the way that you could...overall good job and keep dancing! :)

I've watched a couple of your videos and i think your dancing is lovely. When you get older you are going to be an amazing dancer.

I think the only thing you need is a bit more attack to the movements.. and (this is more a note from your other contemporary video) its worth getting the feeling of the music and telling the story of your dance (but that tends to come with age).

You are a fab dancer, and i'm sure i will see you on stage one day.
