@innmate1414 you can play on low with strong fps and even medium but with lower fps in my case it is strange because i get better performance with medium settings !! you can't know until you try !

The 8500GT sucks if you want to run games that where made in the end of 2008 or in 2009.These games are just to heavy for it.If you allow me, I would say get a 1GB graphics card or twin graphic cards with something like 6GB (very expensive) and an i7 Extreme processor, and a lot more stuff, basically make your own machine.

Your graphical processor is the most important component of a GPU. Even with 512 mb and extreme clockspeeds you can give a stunning performance. The most games don't make use of more then +- 1GB of memory unless it has Ultra Hi-Res textures. Like crysis...

How the hell should he know??? There is more than 1 core2quad porocessor, well or not overclokced, different kids of ram, different kinds of 8500GT cards and different bios settings, OS settings, other applications installed that migth slow down the system, etc. Use some brains dummy....sigh

Both, but the biggest requirement leans towards the CPU. I run a core2quad Q9450 with a large 12MB L2 cache and because of that can get away with the fact that I have a 8800GT, I have 30-40fps on average with everything on max. You need to be able to run at least with 30fps.

No, be honest, it's on low because your 8500GT is too slow to run medium, frame rates would drop immensely, especially with a lot of crashes, explosions and cars involved.

my 8500 gt is overcloked with rivatuner but your system will do if u play with all settings on low  a low res (800x600) and every detail setting low as posible ! and u have to install thegta 4 patch to improve performance
