  • 3:34 wait did someone just talk to me on msn? lol

  • 3:28 wtf!!!!!

    msn ?:D

  • Don´t really like this game. Won´t discuss it gameplay wise, but the story... I simply don´t think it was well transcrypted to the game. Liked (not loved) the twist about you being a villain. Liked the rewinding being the "revealer of true". But in the end all it accomplishes was shadowed by an open ending with many interpretations. Don´t really think the "gamification of a poem" was well made.

And sorry for typos, brazillian here.

  • the PRINCESS,,,is a LIE!!!

  • Paradox created.

  • Is this real?

  • @sivret20 Yes, yes it is.

  • @NinjahNizz Wow that's not very subtle.

  • The princess must be very hot! :P

What? She is an Atom Bomb! XD

  • After reading the analysis of the story, that the whole game is just a metaphor for a scientist researching the atomic bomb, I must say it's the most disappointing aspect of this game to me. I was all psyched for some kind of epic conclusion that put everything together and explained the game and Tim's relationship with the Princess and the world around him...I was not expecting or wanting to see how/that the game is just a metaphor for the atomic bomb. v_v

Oh and I checked my messenger too. :P

  • @TheWolfLucario

It's actually more than just the atomic bomb. Sadly to say, the majority of people who play through Braid are insistent that it's all about the bomb.

The game is loaded with metaphors, but the majority will only see some because the majority understands power, but not status.

Then again, I've gotten over some obsessive behaviors of mine long before I played Braid, so I see Tim's obsession as something more than the desire for power.

  • Definitely one of the weirdest gaming moments like . . . ever.

I mean who would've thought that the princess explodes?

  • @Mangiff she doesnt.... fuck... i got it!

  • so tim's the monster and the princess is the bomb he covets....? Interesting twist indeed....

  • when i seen her explode i was like

UHM JONATHON WHY DID SHE EXPLODE?

    :O

  • "Careful! If you touch her, she'll explode!"

    "If I don't touch her, I'll explode!"

  • so i was playing a bad guy for the past 2 months?!

  • It seems that the effects of time travel can throw up many twists

  • the story in this game is EXTRMLY complecated.

    clue:

the princes refresent's the A bomb

(no she is NOT a A-bomb she REFRESENTS the A bomb)

  • @ieetmelon

As I see it, the Princess is all the desires of man. Just as humans yearn for the perfect soul mate (looking for the princess), humans also yearn for power (designing the perfect weapon). Desire, the obsession that comes with it, and the ill such obsessions can cause. As I see it, the game is one big lesson on obsession. To say it's just about the atom bomb would be to disregard most aspects of Braid. Afterall, the kid in the candy store doesn't relate to the atom bomb.

  • @laughingfurry as i see it.

the game is about tims regrets for making the A bomb.

this is very well intergrated into the gameplay , trout the game.

the player rever's his action's , and the ending sequnse is tim's attempt to revers the conseqences of the A bomb.

(please ignore my horrabe spelling , i know how bad it is ):

  • @ieetmelon

I'm sorry, but I honestly see it as far more than the regrets of a weapons engineer. I see it as being about desire and obsession.

  • @laughingfurry that's ok.

there's many ways to explain braid's story line and what it represet's.

it's pretty open ended to interpetasion (i hope i spelled that correctly)

  • @laughingfurry i think the boy yearning for candies at the candy store being held back by a girl(Mother?) represents humans trying to covet more power that they can handle are being held back by God until the time that humans become truly responsible and worthy of such power (a-bomb?)

  • @kokeymonster

I disagree. As I see it, the candy story is more like the acquisition of property. Just like how little kids will bicker over candy and toys, people will fight over ownership of objects and places. It's all about the obsession of social status. Status and power are two different things. The a-bomb is power, but not status.

  • Lol, someone wanted to warn you, but...

  • LOL the princess WILL DIE

  • damn it i just checked my own Messenger

  • Do we want for Tim to catch up with the princess though? I mean, in the story it turns out that Tim is the one the princess was running from, right?

  • @NerdyNose245 Well in terms of gameplay I guess so, but by all technicalities this is the ending where the A-Bomb is made and the world ends... so it's the bad ending? Only Braid would have such a bizzare twist.

  • Finally. Some who upload that happend, after You reached 8 star.

    Thanks.

  • Still blows my mind whenever this level is played w/o the fire wall of doom.

  • Wow... This game has a very mature story line and ending. Hard to come by that these days

  • @Chaney547

Try MOTHER 3 on the GBA. Has what you're saying.

  • @Chaney547

Along with Enigma14's mention (Mother is a good trilogy worth trying), there is also Lufia/Etropolis, Phantasy Star, Persona, Theresia, illusion of Gaia/Time, Terranigma, Fatal Frame, Breath of Fire, Half Life, and Silent Hill 2. At first glance, most of these are hard to take serious. However, the intro alone proves how serious some of these games are. And personally, Theresia is the darkest among these in my opinion. I have a hard time getting through that due to the theme.

  • And the crystal-clear message we can take away from all this is that the end of the world will begin with an MSN message.

  • i dont get it hes the bad guy? why the hell does she explode. It the actuall level was sopposed to originally start where the princess was since im assuming he was the bad guy.

does the endin where he builds the castle mean an upcommin game

  • @pureefficient Basically, the entire games true story is about Tim the scientist attempting to invent the Atomic Bomb, and the princess he's chasing is the key to it's invention, playing through the game with that in mind you can start to really understand the story, and the explosion upon him reaching her is the explosion of his atomic bomb. The other man is the metaphor for a saviour stopping it's invention and keeping the world safe.

  • @NinjahNizz I was kind of thinking the princess IS the bomb?

  • Tim is Evil! She is the Bomb..and Tim want bomb to blow Manhattan!

  • That princess is dangerous! She exploded when Tim touched her! XD :P Dangerous she is...I'm surprised nobody put the quote up here yet tho :P

  • @AGamerVids I knew someone would eventually, I guess I'm not famous enough :D

  • @NinjahNizz well it may also be that you didn't put up the epilogue so it wouldn't fit, but since this is the Secret end where he finds her, i guess it could work. it'd have been funny if we had the original voice quote of that guy, you coulda put it in after the princesses true nature was revealed :) BOOM! "Now we are ALL sons of bitches..."

  • lol msn sound BOOM!

  • Lol -someone messaged you just before the Princess blew up. Looks like your buddy was trying to warn you.

  • @AntiEntity Haha yup, I was just sat there like....I'm not redoing this.
