In a state like Colorado where you're allowed to carry a loaded firearm in your glove compartment w/o a FOID card as long as you don't have a criminal history, but pitbulls are banned in Denver (among several other places in CO) says something. Probably that pitbulls are more of a problem than guns in some locations.

Pitbulls can kill coyotes. When my parents moved to AZ our 2 pits snuck out of the yard and explored the mountains for 2 days trying to make it back home. Animal control was called to help look for them, and when the dogs were found, they killed 2 coyotes and left one in such a bad condition that it had to be put to sleep. Not saying its a good thing...but they did what they needed to do to survive. And the pits were not harmed...they just had coyote blood and cactus thorns in their bods.

No kidding. I didn't weigh it but it felt like about 65 or 70 lbs. There's much talk here of the wildlife department doing it to control deer population, but they only attacked cattle.
