I went back in June of this year and jumped off the falls, and at the time I did the river was especially high and fast due to a lot of rain that entire week. In fact the water was brown, not a crisp blue/green like in the video. Divers claim that there are no underwater currents and that the water is in fact calm underneath the surface. Don't do it unless you are a strong swimmer and have common sense.
nobody has ever found the bottom, not even scuba divers. it is miles deep and leads to a lava tunnel. i went there 3 days in a row on my trip to kauai last week it was amazing!
