I feel sorry for all those musicians on stage reduced to taking part in this chicken-in-a-basket, post-modernist fiasco. This dancing theatrical yobbish type would kill any medium eventually! I wouldn't go to see his act if I lived under the same roof as him. He has an amateurish faux Elton John sensibility and the charisma of a poor Norman Wisdom tribute act.

That said he does get to the audience and they seem to love it, also it kinda puts Robbie in a more "human/mortal" position which is undoubtedly selling among his fans.

If u watch this to hear the song u r watching for the wrong purpose, but if u watch it to get a laugh and see Robbie just letting go then its quite amusing imo. :-)

As for Robbie, I don't care about him not singing this perfectly in tune - he's having fun and obviously enjoys singing a song he loves. The crowd goes wild. I don't see anything wrong here. And I certainly don't want this song I love performed with reverence and seriousness, that would be awful...

Trevor Horn didnt write the song, Bruce Woolley did and left the band before they recorded it. He left and created his own band called the Camera club and they released it shortly afterwards. You can find his version ere on youtube, its poor and not as good. You learn something new every day
