First of all, I didn't say that every single black man in jail was innocent, I said most are probabli in jail for something they didn't do. garytelecastor-Yeah, I too am tired of watching wimpy men dominated by aggressive wives in some sitcoms, but the cosby show wasn't a show like that. They showed Claire's weaknesses with weight too and there were plenty of other times she took care of Cliff in loving ways. It's not as bad King of Queens or Everybody Loves Raymond, those husbands just seem like they got neutered.
As for the discussion of Claire being 'fat'..I think she was hiding a pregnancy.

most low class blacks rarely live in the same community with other races. Projects, ghettos,etc. Of course they are the cause of most crimes against themselves. I am a Minister, a mother, a paralegal, a student and a woman of color. Don't you think that I have been a victim of hate crimes? Bad things occur all the time and I do not blame anyone but the people who were involved in the crime against me and to me it does seem that you hate all black people and I could be wrong. I know that I love people and I would never attack anyone but really want you to understand that you can not group everyone together just because of their ethnicity.

There is no denying the truth. AA was made to ensure a minority's access to jobs/opportunities that prejudiced people might not otherwise be inclined to offer them. "Back in the day", minorities needed that leg up. Not so much anymore. It gives legal recourse, much like the fair housing act.

Both of you seem to feel that AA is something that "always" or "never" affects a given situation. At its inception, I'm sure AA served a purpose. In my opinion, its time is swiftly coming to an end.

Affirmative Action does not and I want to make this clear, dictate to a College or University whom to let in their Institution, you must qualify and uphold their standards to be enrolled in the institution. What affirmative action does is to ensure that qualified minorities are accepted by Institutions of Higher Education.

The reason I used Princeton as an example is because I have alot of friends who are black at Princeton. And they are there because they are brilliant kids. they got perfect scores on their Sat's and Ap's and they got straight A's in high school. In fact, The person who graduated at the top of his class at Princeton in 2007 was black. I wasn't talking about afimative action cases, but you assumed I was, cuase you mind is apparently on one track.

You dare to say that the black kids that don't speak the best english have the opportunity to get a free education but don't. There are many socioeconomic reasons that you are forgetting. This "free" education in inner city schools is usually not up to par. Often time these kids have to deal with overfilled classes, not enough tax money, and sometimes, teachers who don't even care. It is downright ignorant of you to blame it all on the kids.

Although I don't agree with everything you said there, I do agree that the jive or ebonics or whatever slang blacks use is definitely a clear sign of segregating themselves from us, which is actually quite ironic since all they wanted was to fit in fourty years ago. Now there are many (not all, mind you) that seem intent on separating themselves completely from whites just because previous generations were oppressed.
