I just recently found out that lawnmower man is based off of a short story that Stephen King wrote back in the 70's, it's so sad that one of my favorite writers is connected to a shitty movie and an even shittier game.
Although apparently the movie was so drastically different from King's story that King sued New Line Cinema to get his name completely off of that stupid movie.
I once beat the game. Using lots and lots and lots and lots of save states. Kept my gun at maximum power because it takes for-freakin'-ever to blow up a lot of the enemies.
And the movie's one of those things that's so bad, it's kind of good in a bizarre way.

I used to have this game, and I was awesome at it, but originally I had no idea what I was doing. I also never even heard of Contra when I got this (very sheltered childhood). I loved the 3d flyer sections.
basically the movie is a typical 90's fantasy about virtual reality.
It's about a scientist that uses a sort machine to turn a retard (the lawnower man) into a decent human (or he tries to explore his psyche or something like that.)

towards the end of the video is loops to the "story/demo" like thing and it sort of gives you a bit of the back story.
