I agree with Congressman Ron Paul 100% on foreign policy. We spend way too much money policing the world. But I disagree on his domestic policy. It sounds good to cut taxes and shrink the government, but when you get down to the details, it really means the end of social security and medicare, public education, and the expansion of corporate outsourcing because of "free trade". Although called entitlements, people actually pay into social security and medicare. It would suck to loose them.

But on the other hand, if we do most or all of what he says, then we will pretty much be heading into chaos. We've been doing things wrong for so long, that to change course as drastically as he wants is either impossible or if possible, very detrimental to our lives. Like addiction to morphine. Stopping sounds like a good solution, but if done wrong, you get withdrawal or even die.

Ron Paul has some good ideas, but he tends to seriously misrepresents facts. He consistently states we never declared war in Iraq, but never defines what a declaration of war is. Oh, by the way, neither does the constitution! So what is it called when both houses of congress pass resolutions authorizing the use of force and the commander in chief issues marching orders? I'd like to be able to support Mr. Paul, but he is a flim flam artist with an extremely dangerous foreign policy ideas.

But on the other hand, if we do most or all of what he says, then we will pretty much be heading into chaos. It's like trying to listen to someone and having a guy talking over it. @joejacksonriley ---i would have agreed that LESS gov. control is the best thing for all not long ago BUT the obvious truth is that got into the collapse because of NOT REGULATING the banking system's easy giving credit to ANYONE even if they didnt have income warranting the payback of loans. Then banks (and many people,including low income who couldnt pay back the loans in credit card and bank loan form, not just 'EVIL' wall street got ----GREEDY--- .

When the media starts downplaying a candidate they are worried that individual will disrupt the good ole boys club. So wouldn't it make sense to elect someone not so tied in and in the pockets of lobbyists especially if you had no other choice. Our political system is out dated and we don't have the voice we should due in part to our so called Electoral college which decides in actuality who gets elected president. If our vote did matter neither Bush would never have been elected at all lol
