@oldskoolrocker1000 I find Alucard to be the only exception to that rule. Symphony of the NIght is by far one of the best games I have ever played. I would almost consider Soma, but I prefer Alucard when it comes to actual character design and development.

You see, the Japanese culture is conditioned to encourage patience, so, the Japanese are usually more patient than those who live in the western world, Europe, etc. ultimately leading to easier mastery of video games.

@ChaoticDarkShadow Well, I do find the CVIII a little ridiculous too and it should've been tuned down a bit, but I like the fact that, if one finishes the game, it gives a real feeling of accomplishment. I haven't studied Castlevania in a long time, so I was not informed of the difficulty gap between the Japanese and western versions of the game, and I'll probably validate such a fact later, and if it happens to be true, well, I have no clue why.
