well you also need to consider that the video is one year old. I also heard the conversion became quite common. At the time I made this video, none of them occured to me before. It may be that there was someone doing palmtaps before me, in that case I just reminded the viewers of the tricks existence. To me they where all new, I knew one could be already invented, that's why I decided to wait with publishing it until i had a couple.

hi, thx for your concerns. Hell spin and spider spin are two different tricks that just end up in the same spin. See, neither is a scissors-spin a rip off of the thumbspin. Sure spinning the Pen in the final position of the trick was nothing new, at the conversion it was all about the new concept of transitioning spins by turning the hand.

i see what you mean, but would a palm spin be named differently if i came up with a new way of getting into it. Im sorry if im wrong but it just seems that although it is a new trick concept it is still a variation of the spider spin.

I'd rather call it a variation of a Devils Sonic but im not really the neurotic-about-names-and-order kinda guy. Plus, for things like that there is the naming comission of upsb. And I already had a talk with them back before 1 year when i was still PenSpinning.

can you give me some tips for practicing the dual pass? I can't even move the pen!

dual pass might be the hardest of these tricks. you need very very good timing and you need to move the middlefinger without moving the indexfinger. just slowly bend the middlefinger so the pen starts moving and find the right moment to take the middlefinger up again. then let the pen move 0.5 rotation and do the same again. Lots of practise needed here. good luck :]
