Yeah, it's in F minor. If you play to it as if it's in Bb minor then the minor 6th sounds way off. It's in Bb dorian, but F aeolian, but those are both minor modes because of the flat third and people tend to make mistakes when it comes to that.
I hear all of your arguments but I am totally lost on this thing. I'm new to this kind of musical thinking and I just cannot find the pocket at all. I'm looking forward to tackling this thing some more...maybe I can just work it out by ear.
@feloniuschunk Try using Bb dorian to find inspiration first off. Sticking to the minor 7 in that scale helps. Try accentuating the offbeat to get it.
This is a nice backing track. I like the flutes. I'm rocking it on the trombone right now. This is probably one of my favorite keys to solo in :) Thanks for your creation!

@Fluffypopcicle did you try playing along with it? chords are Bbminor Eb7 , etc. In Bb minor not Fmin, pretty sure.
