Must say this is excellent fun I often seem to play it during the winter with my brother he is really awesome at it. I found the game perfectly free for my sony ps3 here 115 games. com there are thousands best thing about it is they are all totally free oh by the way 0:33 to 2:43 was brilliant

I also want a game with tuning cars & a free mode. I think the most fans want underground back. I hope the next game is underground 3 or in that style.
Honestly im torn i do agree that EA is just spitting out what they feel is good by FFC standards, But at the same time this installment seems like it will give Forza3 & GT5 a good run for the money maybe not with the huge car selection but hey i can tune every aspect of my car as with most NFS games.. Yeah it sucks im not free roaming in the city with the cops behind me but who knows maybe DLC will provide that or maybe this is a way to test graphics/physics before going to the roots of NFS...

I'm trying not to do that.I'm trying to like it. But the greatest course in the world (Nordschleife) is too hard to navigate.I remember driving it on GT4 when I first got that game. I practiced day to night literally so I could master it.I did it for Forza 1&2 also.But Shift made it too much of a hassle. If Nordschleife is too hard to drive on then something truly wrong.

I like the NfS-Series. I hope, the new ones will be better than Undercover, Pro Street or the Underground-games... The last very good NfS-Game was indeed Most Wanted - it made a lot of fun when I played it - although it couldn't beat my favorite NfS IV Brennender Asphalt (High Stakes) ^^
I think Carbon easily beat Most Wanted. It took everything from MW, improved it, then added in a customization system more like that of the Underground games with improved vinyl modification.

Forza's physics engine doesn't know how to handle oversteer! it counters that with ridicules sidelock issues. It was a game made for a system without a proper steering wheel, the game was made for a controller so it was dumb down. If you want 'drift', more accurately, if u want real physics play a true sim, LFS. the best console sim is GT5 prologue, and buy the G25 racing wheel.

TO nismo025: NFS never went rally because NFS specially from the start specializes on exotic cars, tracks and features.. That's what makes NFS different from other games.

Gran Turismo 5 makes almost any racer game look shit.
I LOVE the Gran Turismo series. It's difficult to say what I like about it, you can race or let the CPU race for you, you have really good customization (Performance) the graphics on GT4 for the PS2 were nearly HD standard.
The thing is the GT5 that is currently out is just the prologue. It's meant to have more than 1000 cars in the game, there's the Gran Turismo network (I would seriously look at that, it's really good) and the graphics are... in some cases nearly like real life. That depends on the lighting angles, the shadows and the angle you're looking at.
Still, I love GRID. And yes the damage is very realistic.
lol grid a sim? or forza 2? lol forza 2 is a fun game better than grid million times but there is nothing realistic in those games!!!!! the most realistic as a game can get its the GT5 as in driving psychics cuz thats what simulation stands for :P

don't get me wrong I like those street racing things, actually NFS Most Wanted was my favorite game by the time I had the game cube (dear old days) but since I played PGR and Forza I've come to like sim racers better, not shure why but I think they are more of a thrill when racing.

if NFS shift doesnt have FREE ROAM.... it will take away most of the excitement in the game.. like drive up and down the streets doing all kinda stunts through the traffic and stuff... Most-wanted was the best so far :)

Gran Turismo 5 makes almost any racer game look shit.
I LOVE the Gran Turismo series. It's difficult to say what I like about it, you can race or let the CPU race for you, you have really good customization (Performance) the graphics on GT4 for the PS2 were nearly HD standard.

The thing is the GT5 that is currently out is just the prologue. It's meant to have more than 1000 cars in the game, there's the Gran Turismo network (I would seriously look at that, it's really good) and the graphics are... in some cases nearly like real life. That depends on the lighting angles, the shadows and the angle you're looking at.
Still, I love GRID. And yes the damage is very realistic.

It's supposed to be coming out by the end of this year (2009).
The full game's gonna have a lot more stuff than the Prologue (lulz of course) and GT4. They're bound to add that
B-Spec thing like in GT4. I liked using that.
