  • I carry IWB almost exclusive. I use a Blade Tech IWB for my firearm and never have issues drawing or reholstering. I carry a large firearm so it is a little heavy. Those holsters look like they would grab at the firearm when drawing.

  • I like the idea of in the boot MUCH better than the ankle holster I've been using, Thanks!

  • @briantobin9 I'm glad I was able to give you a new idea to try out. I do use ankle holsters occasionally, but its not too often. I wear motorcycle boots or cowboy boots most of the time (off duty) so an IWB holster does work fairly well to hold a small backup. It may take some getting used to, depending on what you are carrying.

    Thank you for watching.

  • im thinking about getting that one that was in the middle, do you think it will fit a ruger p95 9mm?

  • Did he say ...HOLST"A"? .......hahahah Your not from Texas are you?

    Enjoyed the video "Ya'll! :)

  • @HerbWalker I believe I said "holster". And, no, unfortunately I am not from the great state of Texas, but I would love to live and work there.

  • @HerbWalker , that's a new england accent.

  • I have that galco without the snap and I hate it, never would hook on my belt so half the time I would draw with the holster still on the gun. If it did manage to stay with the belt then I couldn't reholster without taking the holster out and putting the gun in it.

  • @BHarris25 That's interesting. Thank you for the input. As I said I don't really use these holsters on the street, so I don't have the same level of experience with them as some other people do. The one holster that I do use, is mainly to carry a back up, so I'm less concerened with easy reholstering. It seems to hold well to my boot durring my training, but as I said, I'm not useing the holster in its intended role.

Thank you for watching and commenting.

  • Oh, forgot to add that Comp-Tac makes some of the best Kydex holsters. That's where I got my IWB Kydex. I also just purchased a Galco leather IWB tuckable holster. Can't wait to try that out.

  • Great video, all excellent points about those types of IWB holsters. Have you heard of the Kydex holsters? It's a type of polymer, VERY strong. I have a Kydex IWB holster for my H&K P2000SK and I love it. It gets rid of the problem you talked about with the holster collapsing after you draw your firearm. I can draw and holster very fast with Kydex, and it's biggest advantage is that it's very lightweight so it doesn't add weight to your carry.

  • Thank you.

I have seen some Kydex IWB holsters. Since I don't carry IWB on the street I'm not planning on taking a look at any.

    Thank you for watching.

  • you haven't made a video in a while, hope everything is well, maybe just busy. Looking forward to the next video

  • that smaller galco looks like a "stow and go" holster, i was looking at the "stow and go" or the "tuck and go" for my ruger lcp...do you know the difference between these, they're the same price. thanks.

  • The two holsters are basically the same except for the the clip that attaches the holster to your belt. The "Stow and Go" is the holster I have in this video. The "Tuck and Go" has a different clip that allows you to tuck a shirt in front of the holster to completely conceal the firearm. I would use that if you want to conceal the firearm, but do not want to wear a covering garment on top of your shirt, or if you prefer a cleaner appearance in your dress. Hope this helps.

  • IWB holsters certainly can be uncomfortable. I found that if I wear my IWB at the 4:00 position it's pretty comfortable. I'm a small guy but my XD-45 Compact still disappears on me. My relatives are squeamish about guns but they never have any idea I'm wearing around the house. And believe me...if they knew I'd hear about it.

  • Good to see another vid! thanks...

  • Thanks for watching!

  • Well made video.

To carry an auto as heavy as a P239 or a PPS (20+ ounces), I usually opt for a beefier IWB holster - something that has more than one panel of leather and more than one belt loop (think Galco Royal Guard or Milt Sparks Summer Special). Reinforced IWB holsters also allow for relatively easy reholstering and can be more comfortable, especially if they have a "sweat panel" to shield the gun from the side of your body.

  • Thank you.

    Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • Excellent video as per your usual.

A couple days ago I ordered a galco iwb holster. I have seen quite a few positive reviews on their products.

I usually have my shirt tucked in, and it is difficult to find something that does not print through my shirt. I ordered the "U.S.A." holster hoping it will correct that problem.

Thank you again for your informative videos, and for what you do.

  • Thank you.

I'm sure the Galco holster will help solve the problem of your firearm printing.

    Thank you for watching!

  • Good video like always can't wait for the next. What was the firearm that you purshased from your fellow police officer?

  • Thank you.

It is a Browning BDA .380.

  • good vid man!

  • Thank you.

    Thanks for watching.

  • Excellent video as expected.

  • Thank you.

  • Exelent information. I, one day hope to carry one of these in the state of Illinoise.
