I think the point keith made was that the idea of "real" america is false. We are all americans, no mater who we voted for. There are no "pro american" areas of this country just like there are no "anti american" areas.
There is also a memo from Newt Gingrich released in 1996 called "Language: A Key Mechanism of Control". This memo basically explains how to rally people to your side by pairing a positive word like "Pro" to your side and linking negative words to your opponents like "liberal environmentalists" and "pro freedom".. This is also referred to as "right speak" by some.. I am just glad people saw through it... ;)
Pro-Life and Pro-Choice are both frames of the issue. Poeple are either for Abortion being legal and safe or outright banned(With some middle ground on the specifics). There has alos been a trend to using anything with an IST on the end as a negative (Atheist, socialist)
Agreed, and by pairing those word together, you have very effectively removed any middle ground from the debate..
Newt said it best... "It does not matter if you win or lose as long as you fill the stands with screaming fans..." I bet he'd like to rephrase the first part now though...HAHA..
I still can't believe he WON!!! I just feel so wierd and wonderful, and don't know how to get back to normal!!! I can't believe I got somthing I wanted so badly!!! :)

When anyone says Real anything you have to be careful.
Its called the "No True Scotsman" Fallacy.
Its a good way to discrediting the other side or avoiding arguments made against you.
"Well the people that flew plans into WTC they were not real muslims" For example
