airodump-ng (this is what stumbler did and can b connected to network )

but dont forget since on windows the begining with c:/aircrack/

Respond to this video... Nice post... I first read a document on this like a year ago which was posted by the FBI. The purpose of the article was to show businesses why WEP was a poor security method, and a risk for any company to implement. WPA2 all the way, though if you have the power, aircrack can also find a 4-way handshake... takes a bit longer and a couple more computers to cut down on the time!

@ios254 The directories will always change on every computer. Example: If your main drive is D for whatever reason. My directories of C won't fit yours. Change the string yourself. Understand? Otherwise, why attempt something this advanced.

For instance, some files you referenced, were not located in the Aircrack main but I located within bin, you also referenced a wpatst.cap, which wasn't found anywhere but later I concluded that you probably meant wpa.cap. In either case, I got it all going but my Centrino 6xx isn't supported /found, I'll need to pick up a USB card. Also, I meant to ask, what's the IP 127.0.0.0:666 ? WAP? Client? Or to mask your real IP?

The aircrack website no longer provides drivers for Windows users for this method. However, you might be able to find drivers that suit your chipset on third party websites. @TrancoTechnizer Ah sorry mate but you're wrong. I got those command strings from a tutorial page, which I might add took ages to find (the right ones). So either your card isn't compatible or you're doing something wrong. Try changing the path. I.e. C:\ to D:\ etc etc... Good luck. There's not much more help I can give.

yea aircrack-ng is a handy piece of software but for the fact you need to capture what did you say? 100,000 IV's, that takes at least an hour even when your trying the hardest to generate traffic. get ready to wait and wait and wait for those packets to be captured. anywho goodluck everyone

Though, since WPA and WPA2 can have a customized password including letters, number and symbols, it can be very hard to crack unless the password is something from a dictionary. Or, if you had a dictionary file (which is used to crack the network in the end) with every single combination of letters, numbers and symbols (holy fuck, can you imagine how many there are) then you're screwed. Unless there's a new method. I'm not up to speed with it these days.
