  • Hi paul

i am using a armortec 70 mega g2 and i am more of a attacking smashing player would you recommend a voltric 5 or 7? as my replacement i have read your review but im still a bit unsure on what to choose

  • @CBrandon247

It would seem logicial that swapping from a head heavy medium flex racquet to another would work. However, my advice will remain regards choosing a racquet.

I appreciate you are afraid of making a mistake and buying the wrong racquet. However, if you can't test racquets then this is going to happen unless you are extremely lucky.

Some players never find their ideal racquet because they don't test. Ask around and see if you can borrow racquets to get a feel.

    Paul

  • hi paul, i was just wondering whether you could review the carlton vapour trail fx-ti? also i have strung my racket to 27lbs, is this considered high?

  • @jghstennisteam2

If you've checked out my website you'll find a lot of reviews. It's really tough doing a video review because of the logistics involved - very complex, not to mention the time involved and that's why i write racquet reviews now.

I can only review racquets that I can get my hands on. The retailer I am connected to does not sell Carlton racquets so I don't review them. I can review Victor, Karakal and am just about to test 10 APACS racquets and review them

  • Is the voltric 70 a good racket and is it comparable to the voltric 80?

  • @kkingvg

Hopefully you've read my reviews on both racquets. VT70 is a medium flex and not as head heavy as VT80.

    Paul

  • Hi Paul,

What are some of the head-light rackets comparable to Yonex 9900 from different brands?

    Thanks!

  • @swajay2010

Victor XT40, can't say about other brands as I haven't tested them

    Paul

  • Hi Paul. My question is: Is Yonex Voltric 5 a good racquet? My coached said that it's time to buy a new one.

  • @MetallicaHA

It's a great racquet. Go to my blog and read my review.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach It was a very nice review and I learned a lot. I think I am going to buy the VT5, but will I be disappointed that I didn't buy the VT7?

  • @MetallicaHA

I honestly don't know because only you can tell if 7 is better than 5

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach Another thing. There is a racquet with the same price. It's called Yonex Arcsaber Omega. What would you recommend?

  • @TheBadmintonCoach

I really need help on choosing between Muscle Power or Nano Speed? Please reply as soon as possible. Thanks!

  • @optimusswipe

Sadly neither me or anyone else can help you. You need to try the racquets to find whether you feel they suit your game. Muscle Power are quite old now although there are still new racquets around. Nanospeed are about to be replaced by Nanoray.

    Paul

  • How mcuh does it cost?

  • @MetallicaHA

That depends on which country you live in. In UK it costs around £130 but may be more. Other countries have different selling prices.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach Thank you. What do you recommend for a beginner? I have been playing for 6 months with an Artengo 800P or something like that

  • @MetallicaHA

Invest your money on coaching to improve your technique and make sure you don't develop any bad habits. Wait until your coach advises it's time for you to buy another racquet.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach

Hi, I'm an intermediate player and I was wondering what tension of string I should use on my nanospeed 100. Also if possible can you let me know what tension is vest for what style of gameplay. I'm more of an aggressive player

    Thanks

  • @mastikhor100

There is so such thing as the right tension for a certain style of play. You ask for tension which helps you perform best with the racquet you have. This will depend on the country you play in, the type of shuttle you use (nylon or feather) and and your personal preferences. You need to test different tensions to find which you feel best with.

    Paul

  • @thatguy10151

If you have very good technique and like head light racquets, then this racquet could be perfect for you. However, if you usually use head heavy racquets then you will initially improve your smash but expect this to wear off.

The racquet is probably the best to move in the Yonex range.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach

Can you review other rackets like the li ning n90 woods or voltric 70 plz I also play badminton.

  • @dewiauyeung

Voltric 70 has been reviewed on my blog but not as a video. I may be reviewing Li Ning later in the year but have to get through the new Nanoray racquets before then.

If you check out my blog there are far more racquet reviews and coaching articles than I post on Youtube.

    Paul

  • Your posture seems a little stiff. Maybe that suits you, but I don't see much core movement.

As for the racket. I wish I still had the 9900. It was one of my favorites, very quick, pretty solid but fragile. I had two, but my family members broke them :(

Currently using AT 900 atk and ArcSbr Z slash.

  • can any one else hear the tune the rackets makewhen they are tapping it

  • Paul have you heard of the nanoray series. I just saw it on the yonex website and wondered if you've tried it?

  • @WeaponsSpree

Nanoray racquets are due in to UK within the next few weeks. They will evenutally replace the nanospeed series.

Sorry to say, i can't review them until I can test so it will be a month or so. Watch my blog for more information.

I have a lot of catching up to do on my blog with regard to racquet reviews. However, it's not meant to be a racquet review site. Instead I want to write a number of coaching articles. Paul

  • hey paul, i want to ask for your advice of what type of badminton racquet i should be getting. I usually play doubles, prefer a head light raquet that is around the 3U or 84g mark but also have good control and power when i need it for smashes. I currently am using a yonex carbonex 8600ti. i enjoy my raquet for the overall solid feel, control and power. do you think i should countinue with the carbonex and get the carbonex 35? or is their another that is better for my style of play?

  • Im 12 and I use a Apacs racket strung with yonex bg 66 at 25lbs. Why did you string your racket 24lbs and not something higher? My friend is 16 and strings his nano speed 9900 27lbs.

  • Greetings Mr. Paul! I would like to ask which string do you suggest for intermediate players?

  • .........because it's so light......

  • Do you know Ken Steele?

  • @daev1978

I don't believe I do although I've met so many people over the last years years and can't remember everyone.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach I'm a 14 year old badminton player I train on competitive level. How do I know how much I should put weight on my racquet, should I put it on the maximum?

  • @WillBeSubscribing

The best thing to do is gradually increase your weight once you have reached say 25 reps with 30 second rests. When you can easily do the exercise, this is the time to add extra weight - but not too much. This is a gradual process and at 14 you need to develop physically.

Big weights are not good for 14 year olds as you will be placing bones, muscles and tendons under enormous stress when they are not fully developed. Build strength and endurance - not bulk

    Paul

  • Which String and how much weight on it do you have?

  • @masel95

This racquet was strung in BG65Ti at 23lbs

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach okay thank you :)

i use the N9900 with BG68Ti with 25 lbs but i am going to string with 23 lbs because 25 is to hard for me

  • soo stiff i just so scared of his stiffness thats why i bought a voltric 80

  • @phili007

Good choice of racquet although VT80 is meant to be stiff too.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach but N9900 was soo stiff more than VT80

  • @phili007

Remember that Yonex technology is always improving. NS9900 has been around for 3 + years now. In that time Yonex have developed Voltric range. In my opinion Voltric racquets are superior to Nanospeed, but that's just my preference.

You have purchased my number 1 favourite racquet in VT80. Don't worry that it's less stiff than NS9900, just enjoy it and improve your game with it.

    Paul

  • LOL why should it loses 0.5 star for the price?!! The price shouldn't be important if this racket can improves your game better than other rackets, right? ..Unless you feel like there's another racket that can beat it, e.g. z-slash maybe?

  • @HoangiePongie

Hey, it's my scoring system. I score on different things and one of those is value for money.

    Paul

  • @HoangiePongie Reviewing is subjective; as such he is free to comment on anything he feels fit.

  • @lb8068 yeah of course he can say anything he feel like to say, but that doesn't mean I can't have my own opinions for or against it, therefore your comment about my comment is pretty much pointless..

  • I'm in Canada so i'm not sure. I will definately check it out as I have never ordered any badminon things online and dont want to make an error because of the Customs taxes. ALSO your armchair exercises have improved my wrist strenght by a lot after only a month of doing them. Thank you.

  • @TheBadmintonCoach Thank you for your answer, I just bought me some new shoes and Some Feather YY Shuttles (20's) and hopefully will work better. Was looking for 40's because you said they were a decent price while being a very good Shuttle. But could only find 50's and they were 50$. Which is a bit to much for me.

  • @22echab22e

At that price you made a good decision. Have a look around for online retailers or go to Yonex website and find other retailers. Isn't Badminton Alley in your country? Paul

  • Feels like it takes all my power to just clear it from 3 quarters fro mmy court to 3 wuarters on the other

  • @22echab22e

Nylon shuttles mess up your technique because you can't use good timing for power shots - you have to thump the shuttle. They can also mess up your arm and shoulder if your racquet is strung too tight. Personally, if I was playing with these shuttles I'd have maximum 20lbs tension in my racquet.

    Paul

  • So I play in a high school , and I use this racket. Finally made the singles cut and will be a singles player this year.I use NBG95 at 25 pounds. And am working on wrist power and swing. But I can't seem to hit the Sweet spot all the time. Also man does your swing sound CRISP. Wish you could coach me in person. Also do shuttlecocks make a difference on how good a player can actually be. Because we use nylon Navix 250 or 350 i cant remember (cant even remember name probperly) and its crap

  • I have an Arc saber 10, I was wondering what string your using, you said BG 80 is that effect "hitting sound" or "durability" I might think of getting what you have.

  • @badboycoap

The top 3 strings for me are BG65Ti, BG66 Ultimax and BG80.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach Hey, im like a all-round good badminton player in high school and i was wondering is a nanospeed, armortec or a arcsaber?

  • @CBrandon247

With all the brands and ranges there is a racquet for you. Sadly, I can't say which is best, you just have to try a few and choose. Badminton players spend years testing new racquets in the hope they find the one that is best for them.

If you're asking which is best, I can't say. It's a personal choice.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach thanks but could you tell me your personal favorite racket?

  • @CBrandon247

Voltric 80. Go to my blog and read my review - I only tested the racquet last Wednesday.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach hi again im finding it very hard between nanospeed and a armortec racket im about to buy from my local retailer could you tell me the advantages of them and which one you'd perfer.

    thanks!

  • @CBrandon247

If it's such a tough choice between the two, then I'd suggest you go with voltric.

If not, Armortec is head heavy therefore potentially more powerful overhead, but slightly slower in defence and around the net. Nanospeed is head light. Therefore very fast, in defence and net. However, unless you have a naturally powerful game, the racquet will not give you much more power.

Hope that helps. Let me know what you choose.

    Paul

  • Comment removed

  • @TheBadmintonCoach i just looked at your blogs and your reviews on the rackets and they are really good reviews and so i made up my mind and am going with a arcsaber 8DX

  • @TheBadmintonCoach and also i have a strong sound and smash techinque and i know that i am probly good for a armortec but if i get a flexible shaft will it be better or just feel easier thanks!

  • so wat wud u recomend for a single player ? i mean racket wud u recomend ?

  • @mo4lifeloz

I'd recommend any racquet that feels right for you.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach im more of a player that does clears and smashes, light head or heavy head ? which would u recomond :)

  • @mo4lifeloz

The simple answer is, whichever you feel plays the best.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach oh thats ok :) erm so which kind of rackets have more power ?

  • @mo4lifeloz

That depends on the player too I'm afriad. Some will say light headed racquets, others will say head heavy racquets, some will say medium flex shaft, others stiff shaft.

There really isn't any easy answer. I've just tested new Voltric 80 and found it to be the most powerful racquet I've ever tried. But, that doesn't mean it will be the same for you.

    Paul

  • whats the string tension on the NS9900?

  • @dlobrown8888

Maximum recommended tension is 24 lbs. If you string higher than this (as the pros do) then you invalidate your warranty.

  • Hi i have a ns7700 and i wanted to know which one is lighter between the ns9900 and ns7700? because im planning to get a new racket.

  • @Rathlovelb562

From memory I'd say NS9900 is lighter in the head. It's also stiffer too. Have you read my review of the NS9900? If not go to my blog.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach no not yet

soo the ns9900 is lighter okie cool thank for the tip (:

  • So, i repeat, the NS9900 is lighter than the AT 900 T ?

Is it stiffer that the Technique ? Because i'm thinking about changing to the ns9900 from the At 900 T.

  • @LauchEleven

NS9900 is a lighter headed racquet compared to AT900. I wouldn't say it's stiffer than AT900 - I think they are very close as they both have stiff shafts.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach Thank you very much :)

  • hi, I need some help with choosing the tension here, so based on what ive searched up so far, 19lbs -21 are more of a power? and 22-14lbs are for control? I just started out about a couple years but not so good on this racket buying stuff, which one would you say would be best ? My coach told me to get 19lbs, would that break easily though?

  • @TrixsieENN

Suggest you listen to your coach as they are making sense. You need the lower tension to develop power and technique. Once you have this, you will be in a better position to increase tension to improve your control.

    Paul

  • Hi Paul, when you're playing those push shots are you switching quickly between a forehand and backhand grip. I find it difficult to play backhand push shots and end up just blocking the shuttle over the net.

  • watta raquet.... mine is just a dunlop but its also cool...thae lower the weight the hagher ur chance to win!

  • yeah... 4 and a half stars.... I agree with him, it is one expensive raquet....

  • hey paul, iv been watching alot of badminton videos on here, different sounds are made with different rackets, the different sounds are created by...? string tension or shuttlecock materials? thanks

  • @myconverse66

    Hi there - good question.

The sounds differ due to characteristics of each racquet, string tension, proximity to the camera, natural acoustics of the hall.

    Paul

  • I prefer a Yonex nanospeed 100 with a Head grip because it helps stabilise the racket at quick moments(ex:quick smash or 90 degree vertical net smash). Also,Yonex grips slip and make my hands sweat .

  • @piew101

I make a point in all of my written racquet reviews to state that choosing a racquet is personal. Your comments sum this up perfectly - thanks.

    Paul

  • Is there a way to feel the tension the string is strung at without restringing it?

I think my ns100 string tension is quite low right now and I have to force the shuttle from back court to back court in a clear...

  • @speedstakerguy

Sorry to say there isn't a way to measure string tension when it's in a racquet. Most players over a few years get a broad feel for tension based on pinging their strings when the racquet has just been strung and by pushing their thumb into the strings. But, at best it's an educated guess.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach

    Thanks for your reply

  • Hows it going is there much of a difference in the Yonex Nanospeed 7700 compared to the 9900 , thanks

  • @Iphone4isnumber5

Hi there. I've played with both racquets and still feel 9900 is the pinnacle of the range, although it's also the most expensive. It's probably the most light-headed of the range and also the stiffest.

That said, there's a lot of money between the two racquets, and it's hard to weigh up whether there really is that gap in terms of difference for the price.

I've seen a few pros use 9900 but never a 7700. But I've seen more club players with 7700 than 9900.

    Paul

  • Hows it going is there much of a difference in the Yonex Nanospeed 7700 compared to the 9900 , thanks

  • hi paul could you recomend me a racket i am an intermidiate player i am a power player i also have a budget on buying a racket

  • @drago88890

If you have a lot of natural power then the Yonex Nanospeed range could be perfect for you. You will have a lot of power plus super fast reflexes because the racquet is easy to move.

You could use any of the Yonex range if you have natural power. It's best to check out even balance, head light and head heavy racquets and decide which type you like best first. Then this will narrow down your choices.

Good luck and happy new year.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach hi paul is it okay i bought the nanospeed 9000x

  • @drago88890

Nano9000 is a good racquet. I hope you find it suits your game and get a lot of pleasure from it.

    Paul

  • paul what racket could you recomend to me i am an intermidiate player i am a power player

  • Comment removed

  • @TheBadmintonCoach

    Hi Paul,

I am an intermidiate/advanced club player and would like your reccomendation. i prefer racquets such as the 9900, but I have a limited budget, so do you know a cheaper alternative that is head light and reasonably stiff shaft? I have a powerful natural swing and use my wrist more than my arms.

    Cheers,

    -NaLi

  • @NaLiBadminton

Try looking at APACS racquets and see what fits from their range.

You may also find older Nano's like 9000 available at good prices.

    Paul

  • @NaLiBadminton

You could also look at the NS7000 - IMO the very best counter/defence headlight racket.

  • Comment removed

  • Paul, then what is the recommended tension for a nanospeed 8000

  • Paul, is yonex your sponsor??? cause you always wear yonex shirts and you recommend people to buy from yonex stores or websites...

  • @justinsundiam

Yes I am sponsored by Yonex. However, Yonex have no say what goes on my blog. Also, I have reviewed other manufacturers racquets on my blog and rated them highly.

Most of the time, i get access to Yonex equipment via a retailer who buys racquets as demo models for players to try before they buy. I borrow these demos to review the racquet.

I am constantly asked to comment on Yonex racquets and why one is different by readers. So I just respond to readers.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach Do you know any sires where i can read some descriptions of the benifits and disadvantages of the arc sabers, nano speeds, ects. I know it would be a mouth full for you to type.

  • @orochiThing

    Here's the basics

    Arcsaber is even balance

    Armortec are head heavy

    Nanospeed are head light

Decide which you prefer for your game. Big hitters who have natural power would favour any of these. A weak hitter may need a heavier head to add some power to their game. Even balance are good all rounders and generally do everything pretty well.

Voltric is the new range from Yonex. This is a combination of the 3 technologies. Expect good things from this range and it will replace AT's.

  • Im thinking of buying this and i wasnt too sure until i saw this video, thanks really helpful :D

  • hiiiii paul......can u help me 2 decide dat which racket should i buy so dat i can improve my smash as i enjoyed 2 smash.........my budget is Rs.2500........plz tell me soon........

  • @99aseem

First of all find a coach and make sure your technique is good. When it is, then you need to decide whether you prefer head heavy, head light or even balanced racquets.

You also need to decide whether you like flexible, medium flex or stiff shafts as they all effect your smash.

Once you know which combination you prefer, look at Yonex website and buy the racquet with that combination.

    Paul

  • hey i have recently joined a badminton club, I am a junior and i currently play with a nanospeed 300, i am quite a powerfull player and enjoy playing smashes what racquet would you recomend for me ? thanks

    duncan

  • @rofl0o0o0o0orofl

If you're very powerful, then you can choose whatever you like!

Begin with a budget in mind and then try a few different racquets so that you can guage the difference between head heavy, head light, even balance, stiff shaft, medium flex and flexible shaft.

When you've got through all of these, you should know thew right combination for your current game. Look at Yonex website and you'll find the right racquet that fits your requirements.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach thanks for your advice =)

  • hw much its cost?

  • @shakeelkhan4196

In UK Nano9900 costs around £120-130

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach hiiiii paul......can u help me 2 decide dat which racket should i buy so dat i can improve my smash as i enjoyed 2 smash.........my budget is Rs.2500........plz tell me soon........

  • Hi i was wondering if you could give me advice on what racket i should get from these 2.

    Armortec 900 or Nanospeed 9900

I am fairly experienced, i am mainly a powerful hitter.

I currently play with Armortec 700. I am needing an upgrade as my racket is falling apart.

    thanks for your help

  • @myjordans12345

Personally, if you're used to Armortec 700 and you play well with it, i would go for AT900 P. Nano9900 is very head light. It will increase you hand speed and initially you may find greater power in your smash. You will be faster in defence.

Over time this may change and you could find your smash is slightly weaker unless you really have natural power.

Hope this helps and let me know what you choose

    Paul

  • Hi there, I've been reading dlsk07's comments and I also use heavy racquets, but the ones you recommended to him aren't heavy enough for my liking,

So I just want to ask, Are there any heavy racquets like the B series or 1U/2U racquets for HIGH LEVEL players?

Because I'm a very strong hitter and don't worry about my arms, I normally use racquets like these for 4/5 hrs training with my friends (I'm not in any sort of club by the way)

and what string tension would you recommend for my AT900P

  • @riverpip

The only racquet that is more head heavy than AT900P is AT700. I understand new Voltric is head heavy but as yet I don't know flex in the shaft.

With regard to tension you do need to test. If you're currently using say 23lbs, then increase in increments of 1lb until you find your optimum tension. Bearin mind manfactureer recommended tension as you invalidate warranty when you exceed it.

Players exceed recommended tension, but thet get a new racquet if they break it.

    Paul

  • and "off the court"

  • sorry, i was meant to say "until now"

  • oh, please name about 5 racquets (if possible) and i don't care about the colour

  • hello there i was wondering what racquet you would recommend me

Here some ideas of what i would like my next racquet to be and what i'm used to:

    - Yonex B-500 (so a very very heavy racquet, because of the amount of metal)

    - I am a very powerful hitter, because I've been training with this heavy racquet for about 5/6 years.

    - So, i want something with a heavy head, durable (one that doesn't snap easily), very air resistant and light

    - MAX. i can afford is £120

  • @dlsk07

Top choice would be Armortec 900 Power followed by Armortec 700, Arcsaber 10, Arcsaber 8DX. There's also Voltric 70 which has just been launched and I understand that is head heavy too.

Hope this helps. Let me know what you choose.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach Well, yesterday i bought what you recommended to me as first choice, the Armortec 900 Power, which was for £112 (originally £150), so I'm glad it was under my budget. i tried to find the Voltric 70, but there wasn't any in the shop yet.

So after i bought the Armortec, i had a try on the court, and my goodness, i only cleared the shuttle very lightly from the back of the court and it flew about 3-4 metres further behind the other side of the court, i know i'm strong, but not

  • @dlsk07 that strong. i am really not used to the lightness of this new Yonex raquet, because my B-500 was my first and only racquet since now, but really it's quite good for defence. i can run faster, switch from defence to attack very quick and i don't need to use as much effort as before (actually, i don't think i need any effort, haha, just joking)

Just one more question, Are there any latest racquets that are as heavy as the Basic Series? because many of my shots are flying of the court

  • @dlsk07

Disk. Part of the skill in the game is keeping the shuttle in. Glad AT900P is performing so well and you got it at a great price. What you also need to remember is that you're so used to a heavy racquet that this lighter version is easy to hit with.

This will wear off in time so keep using your old racquet as a training tool.

Voltric 70 is supposed to be head heavy. There isn't a date for Uk launch yet but I expect to hear something very soon.

    Paul

  • What is the Best Tension for "Black Knight C2C ICE Badminton Racket" with the String Yonex BG-66?

please Teach me... 'cause I have 2 rackets. the one is "Yonex Armortec 900 Technique Badminton Racquet" and I let the person who puts the string into 24lbs.(tension) with the string Yonex BG-66.. then it changed it's shape... and I think it's Because of the over tension even though the limit of the Racket is 24lbs. so I don't want to happen to my Black Night at this time.. pls tell me what tension.

  • @moses1996

A racquet shouldn't go out of shape when strung so this gives me cause for concern over your AT900.

Racquet tension is personal so I don't what tension will suit you best. Suggest for now you seek a different stringer and talk to them about your game and experience. Increasing tension does not necessarily increase power, but improves control.

Test tensions with your stringer until you find the best for you. Take your AT900 to another stringer - it should not be out of shape. Paul

    Oh, Thank You so Much!

  • @TheBadmintonCoach Oh, I have, from front to cover. Keep up the brilliant work mate, your videos and blog are both excellent. ^_^

  • @lb8068

Many thanks for your comments. Why not sign up for the forum and contribute? The more players give a view about a subject the more we all learn.

  • @TheBadmintonCoach In that case, it would probably be the 8dx for me.

Really impressed with how quickly you respond, thanks very much.

  • @lb8068

It's my pleasure. Sorry I can't help you more. Hopefully you've already visited my blog and looked through the coaching articles as well as all my written racquet reviews.

  • Like I said before Paul, I'm a bit of a newbie but I've been playing for a wee while when I was younger. I prefer a more aggressive game than defensive, what racquet do you think I would prefer; the 9900 or the 8DX?

  • @lb8068

Tough one to call as racquet choice is so personal.

If you already possess a lot of power then I'd favour the Nano9900. If you need a racquet to help you get the power then the 8DXwould be favourite out of the two. However, this is my personal opinion and I'm not you.

  • No worries dude, still do you know of any?Might come in handy some day =]

    Thanks a bunch =]

  • @gjist

I only know UK retailers. It may be worth checking out Yonex in USA and they may have a retailer list. From this you may find one or two advertising on the web at good prices. Sorry it's a bit of a job but it's the only way I know.

    Paul

  • Hey paul you were saying something about online discounts in the viddy,do you happen to know of any online badminton shops with badass discounts which ship all over the world? =] ??

  • @gjist

Sorry to say price is very erratic. Some retailers will ship worldwide, others will avoid. Then there's the individual contry import taxes to consider...

Also, if you buy from outside your country, there is no warranty on the racquet. Best to buy from an authorised dealer and stay clear of ebay as they're generally fakes.

    Sorry I can't help further.

  • Is Adidas to football (soccer) as yonex is to badminton?

  • @lb8068

Yes, that's a fair assessment. yonex are the premier brand in badminton.

    Paul

  • for single player arcsaber 8DX and nanospeed 9900 wich 1 will u recommend??

  • @Arondevilmaycry

I would recommend the racquet you feel is best for you. If you like to use a racquet with a light head that is super-fast, then choose Nano9900. If you want a super stiff racquet that does everything really well but has more weight in the head, then 8Dx may be for you.

    Paul

Let me know what you choose

  • Can you do a video on adding grips on your Racquet? I'm having trouble adding Wilson Hip Grip onto my nanospeed as it looks poorly done.

  • @xaznherox4life

That's a good idea. I expect there are videos on how to put a grip on a racquet. I'll take a look and return to you. If I can't find one, I'll think about making one.

    Paul

  • @xaznherox4life

Try a search on grip on badminton racquet. There is a video about how to wrap a grip on a racquet.

  • I haven't touched the Muscle power because i think it is too heavy. Also if i was to get my brother's Yonex Nano speed 9900. What string and tension should i put on the racquet. he broke one of the nipples off the nanospeed using just the regular strings that came with it. Thanks alot! P.S. He bought these Strings in UK. I'm not sure if its good but he says its around 30 bucks to buy in Canada. Not much detail about the string. I'll try to grab a box and give you the info.

  • @xaznherox4life

As a beginner, you should consider BG65Ti string and a tension around 20lbs. As you improve, you may wish to increase tensions but make sure you're doing it because you can feel the difference you get from the tension rather than what you read on the forums. High tension and poor technique usually result in a long term injury so please take care.

    Paul

  • @TheBadmintonCoach Why wouldn't you recommend either of the racquet? Is there something that i need to improve on before using one? Like only think i need to learn is how to smash. I can hit the shuttlecocks fine. But i usually return them high when being rallied on.

  • @xaznherox4life

I wouldn't recommend either racquet for a beginner. However, if I had to choose between the two, I would choose the one that feels best and I hit best with.

Having used both racquets, they each have good points and potential weaknesses depending on the player you are.

Badminton is about feel as the racquet needs to become an extension of your hand. That's why I suggest you choose the racquet that feels best for you. It may be one of these, it may be another.

    Paul

  • From all the Yonex Series. Which would you recommend for beginners. My brother has a Arcsaber 10, 2 Nanospeed 9900, and 2 Muscle Power 7. He thinks he knows alot about racquets buying every single one. But i'm not sure about using one of them. I'm guessing that the arc saber 10 is better off for me because it is all around? I've felt the racquets too, Unless i'm dumb. From a few months from touching and feeling it. Arc saber and nanospeed 9900 feels the same. No difference to me.

  • @xaznherox4life

For a beginner I wouldn't recommend Arc 10 or Nano9900 and probably look at cheaper Musclepower or lower end of the range Armortec or Nanospeed racquets. You won't get the benefit that either racquet can provide if you're a beginner. Arcsaber is very different in feel compared to Nano9900.

  • i heard this and the at900t and the ns9900 are pretty similar but can u tell me the pros and cons for both

  • @AbsolteZero

NS9900 head light, fast racquet, great in defence and around the net. Unless you'tre powerful hitter, getting extra power may be hard.

AT900T - good all rounder, weigth around t piece so nice balance, powerful and excellent in defence and net but not overly head heavy.

Hope this helps. Read my full reviews on my blog for more info.

  • @TheBadmintonCoach OKay thanks paul, this really helps
