@MOeDumplin Basically, all the holes in a rabbit nest (warren) are covered with nets, then a ferret wearing a collar gets put down the hole to flush out the rabbit(s). the idea is they run into the nets and you grab them then dispatch them. although you can also shoot them instead of nets, the ferret is wearing a collar so you can find it underground if it's got hold of a rabbit, if it has then you dig it up. hope this helps!

You need to muzzle the ferret prior to putting it down the hole, because if it catches and kills the rabbit underground, it will take hours before surfacing.

No, dumbshit, if you muzzel the ferret it will sit in a stopend for hours scratching at the arse of a rabbit. And if it's really unlucky, it might run into a rat or other animal underground and be unable to defend itself.

Muzzels aren't used in ferreting anymore, except by those who don't know any better.

A good feed before hunting will prevent most layups.

its a tracker sensor sometimes the ferrets kill down the burrow and start to eat them down there. so putting a tracker on the ferret helps find the location of the rabbit.
