And by the way, the base C6 will sprint to 60 miles per hour in 4 seconds flat, which is only .7 seconds slower than a Ferrari Enzo and .5 seconds off from a Lamborghini Murcielago. Not bad for a car that starts out at $44,000 and returns 28 mpg.

@artaflabiz The C designates the name, the number (6) signifies its generation. Anything else is another subdivision of the Corvette, such as the race inspired 505hp monster known as the Z06, or the evil child eating and terrifying ZR1 with 638hp. There are also the Z51 editions which have sportier suspension and are usually fully loaded with options. The particular corvette in this video is signified as a C6 because it has no other available option packages on it and is therefore a base model.

@rooprat You are partially right, it is a "fucking golf R32". 250hp VR6 with Haldex AWD. Not quite the golf you thought it was, and I can guarantee is faster than you think. Gotta give respect to one of the best sounding 6 cylinder engines made.

@YouSoundButtHurt I hear ya man, the sound they produce makes up for the somewhat lack of power. Once decatted and/or with a resonator delete they get damn loud but maintain a really awesome sound. I cant remember what the 24v GTI's were, was it a 2.8? Because the 3.2 liter vr6 is a huge step up in responsiveness from the earlier ones.

@bharvey2010 I had a 12v and it was a 2.8 and the 24v were also 2.8. Main difference was 200 hp for the 24v which is a nice boost in power but still rather anemic.
