Im an african-american MALE and i wanted to know could I too use this product. I've grown tired of just cutting my hair over and over and a fo isnt for me. So should I try this?
i really like kinky curly hair products (shampoo, conditioner, custard) my only concern is that it takes soooo long to dry, which confuses me because my hair is not as long (yet) as the girl in the video- which makes me think *oh dear* that as it gets longer it will take longer to dry

you should have given your hair a quick final rinse in the shower and you woudn't have had all that "white" in your hair. cute coils in the final process, though.
This is exactly how my hair is, but cut into a bob when it is blown out! It is too hot for a blow out and I am fighting with my coils (more kinky than curly). Your instruction really helped me. I gotta do something for the summer and this was really cute on you. Thank!

I was so inspired the first time I watched this video it gave me the drive to do the BIG BIG CHOP. Ur curl definiton is so beautiful. Im still not there yet Im more focued on retaining moisture and stretching w/o heat.Gels do not agree with my hair...clear or black so i stopped trying. @coeurrr Depends on what method I use. In this vid it probably took about 20 mins...the way I do it now it takes much less time..I'll do a video next time I do this type of style.
Hey sis! I just watched this and your eco styler trial and both videos were great. I think the eco styler gave your curls a better look. :) So that proves theres no need to spend so much to achieve a great look.

@TheEloisesmith Did you try putting it in then putting some chunky twist in to elongate your curls. While the twist are in you can lightly blow dry your roots. This is how I use it and I love it. I get 5 day hair with it. The only think I do is put a little oil in it every night before tying my hair back up. Don't give up on KC, it takes some trail and error, but to me and most people I know it is worth the effort....Good luck.

mine had alot of residue when i did it the 1st time. i notice that yours does have some white residue, as well. has that been an ongoing problem for you, even though you decreased the amount of product that you used?
Your hair is too cute. The key to rocking multi day wash n gos without rewetting is to band your hair each night. You can stretch all the way or just put it is sections with the covered bands just like you did when you sectioned your hair. You will be able to fluff and go.
I tried Kinky Curly Curling custard with the two strand twist. I find when I use it this way, I do not use as much product. The two strand twist are very elongated and I wear the twists as a style for about a week or so then I undo the twist for a fantastic twist-out style with ringets still elongated.
I think we're hair twins! When you describe your hair, it sounds like you're talking about mine. Also, I transitioned for 6 months and I've been natural for 13 months. We're very similar with the amount of time we've natural too and I thought that was cool:) Your hair is pretty!

Your results look really good...My hair looks very similar to this when I apply the kinky curly! I have found that for my hair, it is the technique and not so much the product that brings out these curls in this way. I put my head under running water (get in the shower) and shake my head after applying product (using the same method you did) and get the same results. Thanks for sharing :-)
@br0nzeqt That is interesting that you said you never had a problem with single strand knots b/c you rarely do wash n gos. May ask what style you usually wear. I am at the state where wash n gos create lots of tangles. thanks! :)
Your hair is gorgeous and you are very pretty. I get that, "aww, you are adorable" mess all the time, as well. I'm 36 years old and people think I'm between the ages of 19-25. I'm blessed to look younger than what I am but sometimes people can really take it overboard. It gets really irritating at times. Anyhoo, thanks for sharing.

@br0nzeqt...FYI, I use both the Knot Today & the Giovanni Direct Leave-In together and seal with oil or my shea butter mixture. It was wonders for moisture. Even when I water spritz the next day, I still have both products in my hair to help with the moisture and softness of my hair.
I love my KCCC and I use it as a protective style...I wear it for a week and may hair seems like it is growing...You do have to use the Knot today in order for it to work the best...althought I can not use and will not use the shampoo...it stripped my hair... I think either you love KC or you hate it...LOL

@br0nzeqt Am happy to hear that, I purchased the entire set for my daughter and it just stayed wet way too long and not only that when her hair dried it was major shrinkage plus her hair was so dry and puffy, I kept the shampoo and conditioner but returned the custard and the spray one to the store.
I thought it would dry and her hair would still be shiny or moisturized..didn't work for us.
I don't think that the hairstyle makes you look younger than you are. The hairstyle has no age limit. You are young, so you look young. There is no problem with that. People should give each other respect regardless of age. Your hair looks nice and professional! Keep up the good work!

How did you do with it, the next day? I always do well with wash n go's the first day, and the next, I feel I have to start all the way over.

Your hair is gorgeous and you are very pretty. I get that, "aww, you are adorable" mess all the time, as well. I'm 36 years old and people think I'm between the ages of 19-25. I'm blessed to look younger than what I am but sometimes people can really take it overboard. It gets really irritating at times. Anyhoo, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing! Finally, someone w/hair similar to mine did a KCCC vid! Love your results, I may try this again when it gets warm again here. I LOVE twist-outs more than wash-and-go's but it's always nice to have the option.

My SIL just gave me a brand new bottle of the custard. I want to try it, but I'm skeptical. Well seeing this vid I will DEF try now, cause seriously I feel our hair is just alike (well from where I'm sitting). I will need to invest in the Knot TOday. How is it has a detangler?? Your results were BEAUTIFUL!!!

@BrownFaceTV The Knot Today is a very good detangler but I don't think it will replace my Giovanni Direct Leave-In. :-)

@br0nzeqt...FYI, I use both the Knot Today & the Giovanni Direct Leave-In together and seal with oil or my shea butter mixture. It was wonders for moisture. Even when I water spritz the next day, I still have both products in my hair to help with the moisture and softness of my hair.

I love my KCCC and I use it as a protective style...I wear it for a week and may hair seems like it is growing...You do have to use the Knot today in order for it to work the best...althought I can not use and will not use the shampoo...it stripped my hair... I think either you love KC or you hate it...LOL

Very nice BUT I have seen your hair look better b 4 , 4 a lot less than $40! That is one product that is waaay overpriced AND comes with all of these stipulations like of course it does not "play well" with other products, u almost HAVETA buy the knot today inorder 4 the kccc to work, by then u r out of $50-60, WTF! Not knot noot 4 me babii!

I think the wash-n-go looks great on you. I wouldn't say that it makes you look too young. I want to thank you for all the videos that you do. They have helped me alot.

to the person with the 4B hair, It will moisturize and ad definition but you will still have an afro if that makes sense.
Came out great. We have similar hair bronzeqt except mine is not so thick.

@msfynemaple After it dried completely it was not sticky at all!! It felt fairly hydrated after drying, I was impressed.

@br0nzeqt Am happy to hear that, I purchased the entire set for my daughter and it just stayed wet way too long and not only that when her hair dried it was major shrinkage plus her hair was so dry and puffy, I kept the shampoo and conditioner but returned the custard and the spray one to the store.
I thought it would dry and her hair would still be shiny or moisturized..didn't work for us.

I don't think that the hairstyle makes you look younger than you are. The hairstyle has no age limit. You are young, so you look young. There is no problem with that. People should give each other respect regardless of age. Your hair looks nice and professional! Keep up the good work!

@spicyeve I think the knot today gives your hair extra lubrication so that you can just glide the KCCC through the hair.
