so many dislikes? why is it hard to believe that a mind altering drug can lead to mental illness, when ur high ur half crazy already in a good way tho. if when u smoke u often become anxious, or paranoid you are at risk. i think predisposition has a lot to do with it, for most its fine, for others it tips them over the edge. both arguements are right, it just depends on the person.
What kinda shit is this? Cannabis psychosis, from 12 years of heavy drug use and heavy cocaine use? What a crock. As an avid user for the past 15 years I have never had anything remotely similar to these guys claims ever happen to me. Or any of my friends for that matter. Oh wait, I lied.... My buddy did once trip and fall when the lights went out and cut his leg on the coffee table. When the lights came on he had blood all over his leg. But I am pretty sure that was from not being able to see.
@brewerbrian420 well said hun i been smokin it all my life!! an actually it opens my mind more!! i eel more with it wen i smoke it! dont kno it dat normal but they both talkin shit mannnn!! i only started really opening my eyes t the world wen i started smokin it!! sorry me noooooo AGREE with this vid!!! ppl do hav nervous breakdowns as well u kno! and not all of them smoke it!! am i right? yup me think so!! :(((((!!!
@MrBlazerbro Drugs- a substance which effects 1 or more function(s) in the human body. Marijuana- effects the central nervous system, giving the user the calm, relaxed feeling. Therefore Weed is a drug.
Wow and they used other drugs and blame it on weed THAT MAKE SO MUCH SENSE. I was a heavy IV drug user of H and now only smoke weed It helped me get over my addiction to heavy drugs such as benzos and opiods. Cannabis saved my life.
Well I suffered anxiety and panic attacks after smoking weed, but I think that only happens if you have an disposition.
On the other hand I know someone who also had strong panic attacks as well as two guys who stopped smoking because it caused paranoia.
Some time ago I talked to someone who smokes regularly and he told me that everyone who smokes long enough will suffer from some kind of paranoia, but mostly it's a "normal" kind of paranoia like being afraid of getting caught by the police.
I'm happy to see everyone in the comments is relatively knowledgeable about weed .Yes it can have bad effects when you start to depend on it or have had mental health issues in the past. The key is moderation, and to know your limits. It's almost impossible for someone to overdose on Cannabis, the lethal dose is thousands of joints. There is not 1 death directly linked to cannabis use, they are all from being under the influence, which is MUCH worse with Alcohol. Don't get me started on tobacco.
i've smoked weed everyday for almost 4 years. Everyday means every single day. My counselor says i have an abuse problem, but not a dependence problem.
Sounds like some of them were abusing the drug. Notice the word "abusing". You can have a beer or two and be alright. But drink way more than you can handle, and you could possibly end up in the hospital for alcohol poisoning. Now, it's very difficult to overdose on mj (don't think it has even happened to anyone yet) but just because cannabis is bad for some does not mean it is bad for everyone. Yes, I've had a few uneasy moments, but I've also gained some great positive things as well from it.
The -other- drugs were most likely the cause of these hallucinations and all around psycosis. Hallucinogens can make you lose touch with reality of you do them too often. It damages your psyche. Also, it should be noted that too much of anything can have negative results. Marijuana isn't for everyone. But I highly doubt this 'psychosis' was caused solely because of Marijuana.
ive been looking up drug videos on youtube today. why is it that you cant find vids of people doing crack (unless its an anti drug video), snorting coke, or doing other drugs, but you can find thousands of videos of people consuming the herb? is youtube trying to say something here?
Marijuana is not for everyone. Most people handle it better than others. If you don't have self control and cant moderate yourself, you shouldn't be blaming the drugs. Blame yourself for using them irresponsibly.
Yo this is the story of people who begin smoking already with low intelligence AND lack motivation to learn/grow .. If you seek knowledge through lifes natural ways then yl
these guys are idiots.just cause their mind cant take it doesnt mean its bad for everyone,if thjats your reality then thats real, you create your own reality with or without weed, most of these guys have been bbrianwashed by the reality the system has made for them, thats why they feel paro, they thinki they are doing something wrong, alcohol and smokes are ten times worse
I've been smoking weed every day for 5 or 6 years now. I have had feelings that I cant breath or that I will faint or numbness on my limbs and so on. but if u just keep ur head cool and remember that it is because of the drug it will be over in hour. and also thees things mostly happen when I haven't eat or slept well. and after I quit smoking cigarettes the breathing problems r mostly gone.... all that is just in ur head its nothing physical.. week minded ppl will loose theyre mind from weed :D
Listen...I know there's alot of pot smokers here that are like "nah weed is not like that it's not true!" The fact is it IS true. But it al ldepends on you. I smoked for ten years and I can't smoke anymore because of the paranoia. Now I'll smoke here and there if I know the strain has canboids in it. That's what relieves the anxiety. The problem is these growers think more thc = better bud, But that's not the case. you need the canaboids too.
By the sounds of it Smoking weed seems Better AND more safer then going out and drinking alcohol I'de rather be listening to music flying then walking the streets drunk
the years of my life when i was doing drugs were really great, but i'm very lucky, i was starting to do other drugs and i wasn't able to quit marijuana I tried many times. what saved me is a drug induced psychosis and the fact that I went to the doctor
Mixing the facts of marijuana by itself can lead to irrational psychosis and mass confusion. It is safer than alcohol, but it is illegal in the U.S. where is not safe. Many people smoke and mind their own business. If they choose to be reclusive, so be it! Since when is minding your own business a crime? Not all potheads are reclusive or violent, and not all smokers/bakers/etc. use other drugs. I work full-time, exercise and play in a touring band. That's my choice though.
this video is not only a lie in terms of the misinformation about cannabis but manipulated what the interviewee is saying.
at 1:47 if you listen closely you can hear that editors manipulated the sound between his speech as he says "i would've been smoking" *cut* "weed, all day every day" then another cut.
as he says that, his face is blocked by an odd still image of assorted preparations of weed to hide video of the cut in his speech, which would've made the edit more obvious.
I feel that staying at home all day every day will have a huge impact on your mental health in the first place. I can't say that using cannabis this often is healthy but it seems to be the smallest issue in these peoples lives.
Is it any surprise that the GOVERNMENT is funding idiotic initiatives to spread disinformation like this about weed? Besides, TWO anecdotal tales is NOT sufficient evidence for any empirical study. That's not scientific! Besides, both of them experimented with OTHER drugs, not just pot. Why do you guys only isolate the weed?
Am I to believe OTHER, harder drugs like cocaine, meth, heroin and LSD couldn't also lead to psychosis in some people? come on, man.
CORRELATION IS NOT CAUSATION! Just because someone got high and got psychosis means NOTHING. What it means is they either 'smoked too much', which seems unlikely to begin with, or they had a high risk of psychosis because of genetics ANYHOW. Cannabis was just the TRIGGER, not the cause.
this seems like bs.the josh guy was a hardcore user of coke.and im sure the other guy had his fare share of demons as well.it hurts me in a way becuse there black balling weed.to me thats wrong.
Stop lying, cannabis doesn't do that! It calms you down and makes people act more rational than they would sober! It's the other drugs that caused psychosis! LEGALIZE CANNABIS!!!!!!!
@pidos847 It also speeds you're heart rate, and if you smoke enough at one time, you might get a heart related problem, but to get that, you gotta smoke like 6 or seven blunts at one time nonstop.
Personally, I think the way in which people use cannabis has a massive impact on its effects. Eg. If somebody smokes to avoid confronting lifes problems, then it makes sense that the anxiety they have been masking could build up and present as the symptoms of psychosis/schizophrenia (paranoid delusions, muddled and irrational thinking etc.) The problem is that most people have next to no control over their own minds. If you don't believe me try and meditate on a single thought... its hard right?
I has a bad experience with cannabis once where i got paranoid etc... but i was only paranoid because of the illegality of the stuff, i thought that i was being investigated for smoking it and may be sent to prison. If it was legal i wouldn't have has this delusion because i would have had no fear of retribution. ITS THE LAW AGAINST CANNABIS THAT CAUSES PROBLEMS NOT THE DRUG ITSELF!!!
Coming from someone who had a psychosis break down, it is the weed and as much as i hate to say it cause i f**k'n love it, if they are to legalize it then they better have the medical back up for all the psychological damage thats gonna follow.
this is a crock of shit only time i felt anxiety is when i did meth but weed does not do this to you ive benn smoking for years and never experienced this
These guys are nuts cause they experimented with other drugs so you cant say it was the marijuana. What their describing as cannabis psychosis are symptoms if you get really really high. When you get super high start to trip out a little...but when you sober up it goes away...their leading you to believe that its forever, which its not.
I've heard of this happening to far too many people. Just from smoking too much pot and nothing else. I totally see it though. I smoked for years and over years and years I eventually started to get really bad anxiety, paranoia, and depression. The stuff that's out there now is just soooo concentrated. Very strong. It's not what is once was. There is even physical withdrawal symptoms when stopping heavy use which I have experienced.
i have also had a bad experience smoking weed, i smoked it for about 6 years and smoked it every day. eventually i started have severe panic attacks, severe anxiety, and just paranoid about everything. i didnt experiment with others drugs. i also know about four other people from my area, who were diagnosed with psychosis and sectioned. but on the other hand, i also know many people who are long term weed smokers with no real problems other than laziness.
the only reason these people went crazy is becuase they did other drugs heavily besides cannabis. this is propaganda bullshit. cannabis doesnt make people go crazy. people make themselves crazy.
This isn't propaganda. Im glad to see that there are people who have some sense and see marijuana for what it is. People either glorify it as God's gift to the world, or they tell you that if u smoke you will become an addict and live on the street. The truth of the matter is that weed is still a drug. It has good and bad sides. Personally I've experienced the bad more than good. It gives me panic attacks and extreme anxiety. If you don't experience this, good for you but don't dismiss the facts
I used to smoke for quite a few years, almost everyday, but had to stop eventually because it started to cause panic attacks, feelings of unreality, and just fear in general. I used to defend weed, think it was the cure for humanity, would make everyone happier and more peaceful, but it really caused me incredible amounts of emotional and spiritual pain and fear in the long run, and now, investigating it more, I have discovered there are many who have the same story to tell as mine
So-called "cannabis psychosis is very rare. I've never seen it and I've known hundreds of maijuana smokers personally. I suspect there are underlying psychiatric conditions with the subjects in this video. If this is meant as a warning it may be overkill which defeats its own purpose. A more common negative side effect is memory problems leading to diminished learning capacity over time.
@SportlLegend Cannabis does and can induce a form of psychosis, this is proven with peer reviewed scientific analysis. Also people susceptible to schizophrenia are far more likely to develop it via THC. Mental illness is caused and exasperated by cannabis use, there's piles and piles of scientific evidence pointing to this, don't sit there and promote weed like it's some sort of joke, it's not, I've seen countless people loose their minds and lives because of this "harmless" drug.
The psychosis is as dangerous as they make it seem. Sure you leave reality and catch ideas/thoughts you wouldnt have thunk when in reality. Thats the benefit. Typically those ideas could lead to a huge success of your life. I would reccomend using the ideas for something productive. Whether it be for a spiritual production, etc.
People who haven't seen the dark side of weed haven't done enough or the right strains. Simple "daily smoking" isn't enough to have experienced the damage, especially psychologically, that it can cause.
I first experienced the positive and good effects of weed for quite a few years until I later experienced the dark side. Honestly, I would never wish it upon anyone to go through the fears and panic anxiety that it can cause. It can be a nightmare. I've investigated a lot more over the years, and realized there are plenty of people who have the story as mine,, very sad. Why can't we be happy as children who don't need drugs to feel good
20 - 30 years ago it was an average 1% to 3% THC with an equal amount of CBD. The stuff out there now is average 18% - 30% THC with very low CBD, which is not a good thing. CBD acts as an anti-psychotic which prevents side effects like paranoia, anxiety, and depression.
@HolySasquatchTurd : very low CBD????? ever heard of indica strains??? thats CBD. sativa is THC they both have it but one has more of a chemical and the other too
@richie1303 CBD=Cannabinol which is another active ingredent in cannabis. it is also produced by your brain. its really hard to test bc your brain only produces it as needed. Pure THC gives the exact opposite affect of thc and CBD mixed. when i smoke weed I'm more open, i talk to people more, and can easily express my feelings. if i smoked something with a very very high THC content. i would be paranoid and reserved, not really wanting to talk to anyone. God wants us to use it but not abuse it.
I work part time at a psychiatric ward and we've seen people with this. A direct result of smoking way too much powerful strains of ganja. Symptoms including full blown delusions, irrational thinking, hallucinations. You ask me 30 years ago if ganja could cause psychosis, I would have said no, but the stuff out there now is just so strong. Very powerful.
lol wow.. talk to the people who are alcoholics.. soooooo much worse... these people arn't even pure pot smokers their COKE ADDICTS. people really need to know that there is a difference between pot and coke...
i find it funny how the two patients they studied were both drug addicts. One was a coke addict, and the other was a heavy drug user. And they try to test cannabis problems.. SO BELIEVABLE. haha what a joke
I have never heard so much cobblers in all my life. Anyone who thinks these 2 idiots interviewed in the video were affected by cannabis wants their head tested. Anyone who takes cannabis and has a negative or bad experience is halfway there (mental institution) before they smoked it. They are just 2 sado's looking for something to blame their mental condition on. Their is no such thing as cannabis psychosis. But their is such thing as psychosis. This is a government inspired propaganda video.
Taxfreeincome i think you are right but i wouldnt say that its impossible having a bad experience on cannabis ive been paranoid a lot of times before not anymore cause i figured out you just gotta think positive but i did have a panic attack once on weed when i was upstairs and my parents were downstairs and i was super stoned had a panic attack and then felt like i was going to throw up afterwards and i think i did
Drugs all depends on who uses it. I for once never had a bad experience when smoking weed. But that doesnt mean others will. Much like on a cold day, you gotta prepare before going outside, warm clothes etc before you walk out the door. Same goes with drugs ( and with drugs i also mean alcohol too ), dont do it in areas you feel unsafe and/or alone ( especially for first timers ). Gotta think ahead before doing something :)
@ DavidTheSilencer. Same thing was happening to me with the visual hallucinations, but it was as I was smoking a lot of the really potent stuff. Sometimes I would think I saw something on the corner of my eye and sometimes I actually would but it wasn't completely vivid. After that was happening on and off, I cut down the consumption because I was rather spooked. I do agree with smoking everyday being a waste of money and time. It's like being a rotting vegetable.
i think i no what he means. weed isnt that bad but like i have been smoking it everyday and sometimes i just feel empty and out of it when i don't have any. maby its just my brain starting to get a grip
I smoked pot everyday for a year before I started feeling slow and speechless whenever i went to go pick up a girl i didnt kno what to say. My mind felt really fogged and once in a while even when I wasnt high, Id see something move but really I was just hallucinating. I stopped this summer and msoke once in a while, it gets your reallllllyy high because your letting your tolerance lose a bit. Smoking pot daily is a waste of money and waste of a day. At least thats my experiences
and i have to add that some people just arent fit to smoke for one reason or another. so if your first experiences are really too hardcore even if you didnt smoke a lot in quantity, or if you keep badtripping all the time, stop.
so he was sitting on a train and all the sudden couldnt breathe and he WASNT high, and they blame marijuana?... these people seem like they are trying to make up negative effects. marijuana isnt for everyone, but these guys are talking about it like they took some acid or something. these people probably had prior mental problems. in my opinion the most negative effects would be the loss of motivation and the short term memory loss.
There will always be people that abuse weed too much. A friend of mine smokes about 8-10 huge blunts a day. That's way too much and I told him to cut back but he doesn't care. Just like someone doesn't care that they smoke cigarettes or drink too much.
cannabis has different effects on different personalities.
im a calm person, and i dont get any negative side effects, my friend, he has an explosive personality, his thinking and acting gets really distorted, and he gets annoying and panicked... and he smokes too much, every day, i only do it once a weed, and im perfectly fine, abuse is different that use. all abuse is bad!!!
strong weed is really expensive, an average 7% bud is about 5 dollars in texas, while a really potent strain, like white willow 27% is about 15 dollars.
When I quit, I felt so much better about life and my future. I felt that I could think much more clearly and remember everything I did the day before. I also felt happier and started to enjoy life like I used to. "High off of life" you could say. I was also happy because I was fed up with paying for weed all the time. Buying drugs gets to you after a while.
this happened to me on a small scale. i started smoking pot when i 11 years old, and used frequently when i was 12 and 13. i stoped for about a year, then picked it back up at 14 pretty heavily. after going back to highschool in the fall and stoping my use abruptly, i wasnt myself anymore. i felt distant, paranoid, and even thought my best friends were turning on me, and that nobody wanted me around. it was pretty terifying for those few months. luckly i snapped out of it and got on with my life
The second time i smoked a joint, i had a psychotic episode. This stuff happens this is why marijuana is considered a hallucinogen!! I spent 5 hours believing that God was trying to kill me and send me to hell, and all this randomness, after smoking the same joint that my friends smoke. The joint had a normal to no affect on my friends and sent me on a trip to hell. This doesnt happen to everyone, but it can happen.
Thing we have to remember is that the illicit drug trade is run by gangsters who do not care about your health or your 'high' all they care for is money but the truth is that for the majority this doesnt happen. Diving into the deep end on your second swim is not wise, there are many strains, all with different effects and strengths and if you were given the choice im sure you would of tried something a bit lighter - This is a problem created entirely by out dated and ineffective Cannabis laws.
very rational response, Cannabis's illegality is what causes most of its actual and perceived problems. if it was legal it could be regulated therefore safer for the consumer. google US Patent 6630507 to see that the gov't actually KNOWS that cannabis has beneficial medicinal properties
They talking about cocaine about cannbis but forgot about most dangerous legal drug which is maybe even more harmful that cannabis and cocaine all together!I talking about alcohol!Alchol is real danger in novadays it is so dangerous as heroin cause most people die from alcohol!
show me a study with people who only smoke weed and i might concider some of this. who came to the conclusion that all of this was caused by marijuana and not the coke or whatever the hell else they did?
ganja doesnt cure cancer get a grip...its helpful for alot of things but isnt good for humans to take in anyway shape or form unless you only do it at like weekeneds..... and your mind is already fully developed before you start smokin....
well i have it so theres 1 already. don't be sure that these people are gonna just own up to it to thier friends, its not the kind of thing they want to talk about.
Cannabis is safer to use than tomatoes, it cures cancer and so many illness there is not enough space here to list, nobody benefits from cannabis prohibition because it prevents anybody to cure themself.
Cannabis is not a drug, it's one of the few substances that are benefical for human body and soul. People who don't smoke are missing it and if they would do a little research they would become pro legalization.
Look at all the scientific art that keep coming out. IT CURES CANCER FOR LIFESAKE
i dont think weed is bad for you and i think it would be illegal but you have to be realistic. you sound like a crazy stoner and if you argue like that you will never be taken seriously.
Although I do agree that marijuana should be legalized and that it is one of the most harmless and beneficial plants around, what you stated is completely false thus making you look retarded and not helping the cause AT ALL. Weed doesn't cure cancer or any other illness, but it does ease many pains and symptoms caused by glaucoma or cancer. Just for the record.
just because he died from cancer doesn't mean it was caused by his cannabis use, this would be the same thing as saying "he drank water for 30 years and died from cancer so it mustve been the water"
Its really only about the effects the drugs have on you. Its different to different people where as something like heroin is safer for mental health as is less likely to cause a phychosis It is however going to cause a social breakdown you can become addicted it has a powerful effect on your body life can be difficult to live a "normal" life. the some who use hard drugs usually have a problem to start with Cannabis is better but by how much is hard to say
Its a scary situation when something is happening in your head that you cannot control
it's scary it takes over you and when you try to run away your body moves carrying the crazy in your head don't underestimate the conciquence of drugs it can be dangerous
Just because those who are ok can't beleive it happens, does not mean its true
did that dumbass actually say people suffered hallucinations from "cannabis psychosis"? and anyone else notice that the two others actually showed that they experimented heavily with other drugs than cannabis? maybe get a pot only smoker, not a coke fiend and someone who experimented with other substances for 12 years, yeah no kidding you got psychosis, lay off the CRACK
I've found weed to be much more mentally helpful in a self realization aspect. These peoples lives were obviously distraught and when smoking marijuana they were no longer able to convince themselves that they don't have problems.
Most can be daily marijuana users and live a completely normal life, I know MANY. Anxiety/panic attacks can happen to anyone, and they are caused by stress and depression, not marijuana.
The facts are the facts, alcohol and cigarettes kill over what, 500,000 people a year in the US alone due to their use? I have yet to see proof that marijuana has killed ANYONE directly.
I'm gonna take a guess and say that marijuana probably isn't these guys main problem in life.
I have smoked pot for a long time (8 years) and have stopped. Its good for medicinal use, maybe to open your mind in, for a lack of a better word "spiritual" sense, maybe even recreational use ONCE IN A WHILE. But if you smoke daily -- and you are not an artist (to disarm any upcoming arguments) then you are not doing anything beneficial for yourself.
There's a reason for the saying "use, not abuse". You can overdo anything. Personally I think the issues these guys are talking about were probably there *before* they started smoking pot - I.E. they were existing mental issues. But, the point of pot is to put your mind in an altered state (duh), so obviously it will affect those issues. Don't blame the plant. Be motivated to fix your mind. Pot can help with this. It's all about your motivation.
there is a video floating around that contains a 9 11 phone call from a policeman who took some marijuana laced food. He thought he was dying. It's hilarious. There are thousands upon thousands of functional cannabis users from every walk of life and economic status here in california who use cannabis medically or recreationally and we are not having an epidemic of cannabis psychosis You have to treat cannabis with respect. Until I learned meditation, cannabis kept the voices the out of my head
this is infuriating cannabis psychosis is nonsense i do believe the people in this video have had mental problems but to say that cannabis is the one and only cause is rubbish these people were unstable of mind before they smoked cannabis or if you like more prone to mental illness (1 in 4 remember people do you think really 1 in 4 smoke cannabis?! i don't),
Remember you can only speak for yourself. Just because you have had bad experiences with it doesn't mean it's "stupid" for everyone. Not everyone can take the effects of Cannabis, so it's not for everyone to use, but many people get great pleasure from it, like myself.
As a child i always seemed to suffer from mild depression. After my first toke at age fourteen, i was able to think clearly and straighten out my issues, and eventually no longer suffered from depression or from the voices i sometimes heard. im not saying cannabis cures these issues, but it doesn't cause them either. nor does it cause lack of motivation. it motivated me to pursue a more artistic lifestyle and get into the best highschool possible where i make A's and smoke headies daily.
The most recent independent research on the subject is breaking apart the idea that there is a causal relationship between cannabis and psychosis/mental illness. Researchers now believe that those that do exhibit psychotic symptoms from cannabis use are in the early stages of latent schizophrenia. So this is a concern to the 0.1% of the population that suffers from schizophrenia and not one of the general adult public.
Both of these people did other drugs along with Cannabis, if this video was trying to prove anything they should have gotten people who had only ever done cannabis. There's no way to prove the reason these people did the things they did were because of pot, it could have very easily been the other drugs they did. Considering the fact that the vast majority of pot-smokers don't do these kinds of things, I think it's safe to say it was because of the other drugs, and not weed.
True that. The same goes for a lot of studies done on the effects of smoking on driving... Look that shit up. Something like 2/3 of the people who had smoked before getting in an accident had also been drinking.
It is not propaganda, we all know that cannabis is causing mental issues. Users are just ignoring the truth. It would be far better to know the truth and still use it rather than just use it blindly.
Yes I agree...I smoked cannabis for many years and it does(along with any other drug) put you in a dream world where all you are aware of is "The Buzz" and not wanting to be distracted from said "Buzz". I've seen people who smoke cannabis regularly become paranoid, irascible and thoroughly unpleasant...
All actors.

TheWTFsauce 11 months ago

Turbochargedss 1 year ago
Personally, I think the way in which people use cannabis has a massive impact on its effects. Eg. If somebody smokes to avoid confronting lifes problems, then it makes sense that the anxiety they have been masking could build up and present as the symptoms of psychosis/schizophrenia (paranoid delusions, muddled and irrational thinking etc.) The problem is that most people have next to no control over their own minds. If you don't believe me try and meditate on a single thought... its hard right?
redboydoug 1 year ago
I has a bad experience with cannabis once where i got paranoid etc... but i was only paranoid because of the illegality of the stuff, i thought that i was being investigated for smoking it and may be sent to prison. If it was legal i wouldn't have has this delusion because i would have had no fear of retribution. ITS THE LAW AGAINST CANNABIS THAT CAUSES PROBLEMS NOT THE DRUG ITSELF!!!
tompants2010 1 year ago
Coming from someone who had a psychosis break down, it is the weed and as much as i hate to say it cause i f**k'n love it, if they are to legalize it then they better have the medical back up for all the psychological damage thats gonna follow.

These guys are nuts cause they experimented with other drugs so you cant say it was the marijuana. What their describing as cannabis psychosis are symptoms if you get really really high. When you get super high start to trip out a little...but when you sober up it goes away...their leading you to believe that its forever, which its not.
harrisezzat 1 year ago
I've heard of this happening to far too many people. Just from smoking too much pot and nothing else. I totally see it though. I smoked for years and over years and years I eventually started to get really bad anxiety, paranoia, and depression. The stuff that's out there now is just soooo concentrated. Very strong. It's not what is once was. There is even physical withdrawal symptoms when stopping heavy use which I have experienced.
HolySasquatchTurd 1 year ago
i have also had a bad experience smoking weed, i smoked it for about 6 years and smoked it every day. eventually i started have severe panic attacks, severe anxiety, and just paranoid about everything. i didnt experiment with others drugs. i also know about four other people from my area, who were diagnosed with psychosis and sectioned. but on the other hand, i also know many people who are long term weed smokers with no real problems other than laziness.
Ianmcl0889 1 year ago
the only reason these people went crazy is becuase they did other drugs heavily besides cannabis. this is propaganda bullshit. cannabis doesnt make people go crazy. people make themselves crazy.
rwmurph123 1 year ago
This isn't propaganda. Im glad to see that there are people who have some sense and see marijuana for what it is. People either glorify it as God's gift to the world, or they tell you that if u smoke you will become an addict and live on the street. The truth of the matter is that weed is still a drug. It has good and bad sides. Personally I've experienced the bad more than good. It gives me panic attacks and extreme anxiety. If you don't experience this, good for you but don't dismiss the facts

So-called "cannabis psychosis is very rare. I've never seen it and I've known hundreds of maijuana smokers personally. I suspect there are underlying psychiatric conditions with the subjects in this video. If this is meant as a warning it may be overkill which defeats its own purpose.

HolySasquatchTurd 2 years ago

@HolySasquatchTurd what is CBD? slate me if you must but its generally slipping my mind at this point
richie1303 1 year ago
@richie1303 CBD=Cannabinol which is another active ingredent in cannabis. it is also produced by your brain. its really hard to test bc your brain only produces it as needed. Pure THC gives the exact opposite affect of thc and CBD mixed. when i smoke weed I'm more open, i talk to people more, and can easily express my feelings. if i smoked something with a very very high THC content. i would be paranoid and reserved, not really wanting to talk to anyone. God wants us to use it but not abuse it.

Thing we have to remember is that the illicit drug trade is run by gangsters who do not care about your health or your 'high' all they care for is money but the truth is that for the majority this doesnt happen.

I have smoked pot for a long time (8 years) and have stopped. Its good for medicinal use, maybe to open your mind in, for a lack of a better word "spiritual" sense, maybe even recreational use ONCE IN A WHILE. But if you smoke daily -- and you are not an artist (to disarm any upcoming arguments) then you are not doing anything beneficial for yourself.
abuyanovski 2 years ago
There's a reason for the saying "use, not abuse". You can overdo anything. Personally I think the issues these guys are talking about were probably there *before* they started smoking pot - I.E. they were existing mental issues. But, the point of pot is to put your mind in an altered state (duh), so obviously it will affect those issues. Don't blame the plant. Be motivated to fix your mind. Pot can help with this. It's all about your motivation.

Smoking weed does nothing but to regulate your bodies basic state of homeostasis. Cannabinoids are good for you, so toke up!!

*First guy "Was also a cocaine user" lol ...come on now...don't be ridiculous with your cannabis propaganda.
