  • This is Wudang style from Wu style!

  • I've done tai chi and had it done on me by people who know what they're doing, it's no joke.when they put that hurt on you they ain't moving slow either.

  • errr....no lol

  • The multiple opponent attack defense at 1:16 is pretty kool!

  • SUPREME ULTIMATE FIST!!!

  • martial science or the science of fighting is not just with the eyes or visible techniques

Much of it is feeling and concepts that are unseen

much like information being passed on to the tiger thou his whiskers

  • is this wu tai chi?

  • epic

  • Those guys got slapped the fuck out!

  • Send Tyson against him and see who wins...

  • @RealJusuf no contest LOL

  • I thougt taichi use soft movement. But in this video it shows a hard movement. I guess I was wrong all this time

  • ufc guys or mma guys couldnt handle this, and there are many kill moves he could of did if he chooses

    tai chi the killing art

  • May he rest in peace... <3

  • Wow. I never thought of Tai Chi as a fighting technique. I always thought of it as a relaxing way to exercise the body. I used to watch a group of old Asian people doing these slow, flowing movements at a local park. It made me curious to watch them.

  • @MishuTaste - Try doing a pushup in slow motion. 20 seconds to go down, and 20 seconds up. Doing something slower keeps the muscles on & under strain longer, and makes your muscles strong along the entire motion of the pathway. A lot of TaiChi masters are very strong on the inside.

  • @MishuTaste Yeah, I did Chen tai chi for a while. It's the most brutal and deadly style you can imagine

  • @negait Do you know if Chen Tai Chi is from the North or South of China. I read on the internet somewhere that it's a soft southern style.

  • @hibyeeee2 well it's from hennan so it could be classified as northern but it is based on the tai chi quan of Wudang mountain which is considered southern

  • 0.56 that looks painful

  • I llike wat I read !

  • very good explosive combat demo :D

  • he seems so tranquil when he is smacking the bruce-lee clones around in this EXQUISITELY CHOREOGRAPHED demonstration of true Tai Chi Fighting application. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. peace.

  • Tai Chi = The best martial art

  • Hung taught Rocky Kwang ( a Hong Kong street fighter) and Docherty. Kwang taught my instructor ( Glaswegian Judo guy).

Huang lineage is about keeping it simple, apply the rules of Tai Chi, and its is about fighting, not looking pretty.

  • Why is this guy's face so tense throughout this choreographed video?

  • Love it. I have always desired to learn it. I have questions, though, which I hope you guys can help me answer.

    1) I have seen Northern Shaolin style, and it seems very dynamic. Can a Taichi achieve that... state? And do we leap and kick a lot in Taichi?

    2) How do you know which martial art is the best-suited for you?

  • 1:00, truly a dangerous strike!

  • ha ha fun clip, love the ending

  • this looked more external then internal. does this guy even know what internal power is.

  • Excellent Combat Example

  • Great stuff, started doing Tai-Qi and Qi-Gong myself as I currently live in Taiwan, loving it so far.

  • Qi gong like waht shaolin monks do to stop spears from through neck.wow thats immperssive I do the (altered yang style)master moy lin -shin form at taoist tai chi society in ontario canada.

  • Taiji not -qi

  • niceee. thats some good combat taichi right there.

  • So many people view Tai Chi as just an exercise. But it is an excellent fighting system with lots of strikes, throws, and joint locks. If you combine it with boxing, you have a very good thorough system,

  • i love how he was pimp smackin them!!

  • Pretty good video. I like that the guy is sweating! Shows he had a good work out. Also, the attacks are varied and moderate to full speed. Looks like he relies on wave hands like clouds for most blocking.

  • shows how versatile catching clouds can be, especially in blocking, it's widely used for defense and ward-off with opponent grabs ^^

  • as beautiful as it is deadly.

  • They dont teach you that in the western fighting styles...

  • This is best Tai Chi application clip I've seen yet. Granted the attackers are coming in like freight trains, but still more realistic than anything else I've seen...

  • its is fabulous to see master c in action he has true spirit

  • what a beast!

  • Witch tehnique is the strongest Tai Chi,Kung fu or Shaolin Kung fu ? pls answer and try 2 explain why pls pls

  • There really isn't much difference. Shaolin and Chen village (where Taiji is from)are pretty close and both are considered styles of Northern Longfist. The 36 postures of Qi Jiguang figures heavily into the construction of both systems. You should check out Adam Hsu's new book, "Lone Sword Against the Cold Cold Sky". It's available on Amazon and has pretty thorough sections on both systems.

  • very simplistic answer, there are many, many, forms/methods of gung fu, based on the areas that they come from, as well as different family styles, some long, some short, some legs, some more hands, fist, circular, vs. straight, etc. as well as several different forms of tai qi chuan, Bei Jing, Yang, Chen style, etc.

  • It´s spelled Taijiquan

  • taichi is more fluid attacks and manipulation of the opponents weight and movements while any shaolin kungfu is strong quick, at times long attacks, and focuses on the core of the body rather than the fluidity.

  • There really isn't a superior martial art. There are martial arts that seem darker, but not stronger. It's up to the person using the martial art, and how much they know of others. A boxer could lose to sum1 who kno's karate, or sum 1 who kno's karate may lose to a boxer. It's up to how well trained the fighter is.

  • Agree completely. Ultimately, there's only one martial art - i.e. there are no 'styles'. Everything depends on the individual's mastery of stance, movement, breath, timing, body dynamics, etc., however acquired. I thought this video superb!!

  • or rather how experienced the fighter is to react to another martial art ^^

  • @blu3mage

I happen to disagree, I agree that there are styles not superior to others but simply how you wield them but boxing is too restrictive in my opinion since you only really using your upper body and not the whole body and as a practitioner of martial arts I say you have to use anything including your legs

  • @blu3mage : Indeed. There is no great martial art, but there are great martial artists.

  • @blu3mage yea like a boxer can win a tai chi fighter and vice versa right? thx man good advice u gave.

  • there is no which is stronger....shaolin is an art based on tai chi, only it's pretty much in a faster speed. Kung--fu is considered an external art....it makes the outer body stronger, focusing on making the skin stronger and power punches. Tai chi focus on the internal body *internal art* being able to strenghten the muscles, tendons, ability to take blows, and useing your chi to drive further than a kung-fu punch, but applies to the person....in my opinion, tai chi is better...but its an opinion

  • this man is serious!

  • I recgonized Cheng Tin Hung. I was very pleased to see this video.thankyou whoever put this video on

  • omg! I have been lookin for a Cheng Ting-hung video for a while now. thanks for uploadin this. i finally see how he does taichi. so many techniques were used in here.

  • Im sorry but there was preciosu little Tai Chi going on this clip, it just looked like Tai Chi shapes but without the actual Tai Chi.

  • you obviously know little about actual tai chi combat. master c has won full contact fighting and has trained many fighters including my master dan docherty

  • Don't expect real fighting to look exactly like the forms. Real fighting is uglier, dirtier and not very graceful. What I saw in the clip was circularity, sticking (when he blocks), structure (body alignments), and power generation from the waist - all of which are hallmarks of Tai Chi (internal arts).

  • That's supposed to be application is use.

  • What do you think those pretty postures in the form are actually for? Contrary to your apparent belief, Tai Chi is a martial art.

Google Dan Docherty to read more about this particular fighting master (DD's teacher).

  • what a gangster indeed.

  • gotta buy it=]

  • What a gangster.

  • This do is real tichi application!
